ILE For Over 18 Requirement For Citizenship

Post by fatimaawa » Sat Jul 29, 2023 3:03 pm

Hi All,

Good afternoon, I will highly appreciate help.

I got my citizenship in 2019, I applied for my son who got ILE in May 2021 and he was 18years when he entered UK. My two daughter got their ILE one was 18yrs when she entered UK and the other was 17yrs when she entered UK in March 2023. My daughters ILE letter states 3 years 3 month for my daughters, but my son's letter stated 5 years.

The clarification I want is: How long will they be resident in the UK before they can apply for citizenship?

ILE is equivalent to ILR.

If age 18 or over, then see also Qualifying period of residence in UK.
