Ill relative - Ongoing visa applicatio

Hi there

We have recently applied for extending our TIER2 visa and it is under processing.

I know that the Home Office advises not to travel outside the UK while the decision hasn't been taken.

But my wife's relative is very ill at the moment and we are wondering if he dies, by any chance, the Home Office could give her a special permission for going abroad for his funeral and to sort out other things.
