ILR after 5 years ?

Post by destinationUK2007 » Mon Dec 10, 2007 8:02 pm

Hello everyone,

Well, I was just wondering that after all the 5 years spending on HSMP, are there any chances of not getting the Permanent Residency ? (assuming that we have been financially active in the course of 5 years and also have been in the UK for all the period required)

Its like in US, people spend 5 years to get GC but you never know whether you will get it in 5 years as sometimes it goes upto 6,7 or 8…u never know.

And if in case we don’t get ILR after 5 years then are we still allowed continuing on HSMP or we have to move out of country in that case?

Experienced members please comment on the same for your experience of staying in UK and/or after the completion of 5 years…

Thanks in advance…
