ILR application - skilled worker visa employment gap - separate application

Hello,

I have a few questions and would be really grateful if someone could help me with them. The first being that my wife is on a skilled worker visa and her visa started from 25th November 2021. While her being on skilled worker visa, she changed employment (changed firms with a new sponsorship from the second one) and there was a two weeks gap between the two where she was unemployed. She left her first job on 4th Oct 2024 and joined the second one on 21st Oct 2024. (Note: The visa was valid during this 2 weeks gap)
Q1: Will she still be eligible for ILR from 29th October?

I'm on a dependent visa and have my visa till May 2027. And I am eligible to apply for ILR from Mar 2027.
Q2: Will there be any issues with my visa status (or future ILR application) if she applies for ILR early? Or do we need to apply together later when I am eligible in Mar 2027?

1. The employment gap has no effect on her ILR at all. ILR is about maintaining continuous residence

2. No. You are not required to apply together. You can remain/extend as a dependant, after her ILR without any issues
