ILR application

Hi,

I am on spouse visa.

My spouse visa was granted on 25/05/2021 and I came to UK on 12/07/2021.

My online e-visa shows my visa expires on 25/09/2026, when can I apply for ILR?

My FLR was granted on 28th February 2024.

I don't understand why e-visa says expiry date 25/09/2026, isn't that more than 5 years in the UK?

Visa expiry is irrelevant. Your earliest ILR eligibility is (12/07/2021 + 5 years - 28 days). To apply for ILR use form SET(M)

A later expiry date suggests that you applied before the first visa expiry and your new extension was then granted a few months later, after the first visa expiry.

Under the 5-year family rules, a single visa period is fixed to 60 months. Visa extensions are issued in line with the immigration rules (2.5 years or 60 months under the 5-year family rules). This is regardless of whether your total visa period issued goes beyond the 5 years or not.
