ILR application - 4 years in Guernsey & 2 years in Londo

I lived in Guernsey for 4 years on a work permit visa and then moved to London again on a work permit visa. Ive been in London for the last 2 and a half years. I've heard that time spent on the Channel Islands is sometimes counted towards an ILR application, under the Integration of Islands Act. Ive read reviews that some applicants have been successful in similar conditions. Any opinions anybody.
