ILR Uk born baby's eligibility

Post by Shhameed » Thu Sep 01, 2011 4:59 pm

I am currently on Tier1 valid till 2013. I had a baby last dec (2010)and I have got Indian passport for her. I have not yet applied for dependent visa. i am eligible for ILR this Dec 2011

My questions:

1) should I have to get dependent visa for my kid before going for ILR?
2) Is there any time limit that I should get the dependent visa for my kid( born in uk)
3) Could we not apply for the Citizenship directly once we get ILR.?

Please advice

Unless you intend to travel outside the UK with the child then choose only option 3 and ignore the others. It's child registration of citizenship rather than an application for citizenship.

If I opt for the 3rd option as suggested by you I will not be including the new born when I apply for my ILR. Is my assumption correct

Correct. You can save that part of the SET(O) and use it towards the registration application instead.
