ILR chances

Hello there

Just wondering if anyone can give me kind advice about my situation

HSMP stamped 08/08/2006

entry into the UK on 12/09/06

tier 1 extension aug 2006 for thre years

current leave expires on 07/08/2011

had two ablong absence one for 2 months 7 days and anothr for 3months 7 days and had few other short absences with paid leave.
I was not paid during my long absences as i was workin as a contrct doctor at that time.

what are my chance of getting ILR

or do u i just need to go for another extension of tier 1. and can i atten the peo fpr tier 1 extension.

reply wil be much appreciated.

please take care while writing dates or readers are lost to access the real situation. How your Tier 1 was extended in 2006 when your initial visa was stamped in 2006. I reckon it must be 2008 for Tier 1.
Yes you can apply for ILR. IDI Chapter 6A Annex B
2.2 Applications that fall short of the five year continuous period
In some cases, applicants may have been granted 5 years continuous leave, but will not have
spent 5 years continuously in the UK before their current leave expires. Caseworkers may
count the period between entry clearance being granted and the date the applicant entered
the UK towards the 5 years, provided this period was not longer than 3 months.

You are eligible for ILR, however your absence of more than 3 months without an official or important personal reason, will rest your ILR clock.

Yes Gidoc is right. More than 90 days away normally rest the clock. However for business trip or very special reasons like family emergency, cancellation of flights due snow or serious sickness etc (proof needed) this may be condoned by SEO or grade 7 Officer. So preferably apply by post
