ILR - Confusion about dependent

I am in UK from last 5 years, came initially on work permit in September 2006 and changed to Tier2 as per changes in law later on. I changed my job last year which was all done as per UKBA guidelines. I have all home office documents, salary slips, bank statements and P60 forms etc. to prove that.

My wife who is staying with me now since April 2010 and she was here from November 2006 to October 2007 but went back for my son who is studying back home and to look after her old parents. As per stamps and the time on her passport, she has been in UK for more than 2 years. I called up the call center and checked the UKBA site as well but cant find answers to the following:

1. As she has stayed in UK for more than 2 years, can she apply for ILR with me?
2. If Yes, what documents do we need to supply?
3. If No, how/when can she apply for FLR(M) as if I change my status to ILR, she will have to go on the FLR(M)? Can she apply with me at the same time when I am doing ILR application or she need to do at later date?

Any urgent answers will be much appreciated.

Only last question; I am planning to apply in person, should I go and tell everything to the officer or should I wait for him/her to ask me?
Also the last question; In case my wife's application is rejected, does that means my application will be rejected as well or I will be granted ILR and she will be advised to apply for FLR(M).

If your application (main applicant) is refused, then your wife's application (as dependant) will also be refused.
Not the other way around.

Well I understand that if my application will be refused, hers will be refused as I am main applicant but I am asking the other way round that if her application is refused, will they still grant me ILR as I am main applicant and have all documents clear.
