ILR Dependent english requirement

Post by Arun3030 » Thu Nov 06, 2014 4:32 pm

Hi Friends,

I am applying for ILR in Feb2015 with my wife(dependent). I am confused with the UKgov website requirement. My wife passed life in UK test and she did Engineering from JNTU and the university is listed in point based calculator. But the new requirement says need to prove english knowledge. Can someone please suggest the correct option.

Option 1= Can I just take original degree certificates + points calculator print out?

Option 2= Should I take language comparability from UKnaric?

Option 3= Should I take english Language assessment certificate from UKNARIC?

According to website=
Degrees taught or researched in English

You’ll need to prove your degree was both:

taught or researched in English
confirmed by UK NARIC as the equivalent of a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree in the UK

You’ll need your original degree certificate and one of the following:

a printout from the points-based calculator with the equivalent level of your degree and the level of English
an original letter or certificate from UK NARIC confirming the equivalent level of your degree, plus an official letter from your university with your name and degree confirming that your degree was taught in English
an original and official certificate from your university confirming the degree was taught or researched in a majority English-speaking country (except Canada)

Thanks
Arun.
