Ilr to dlr

Dear forum,

If someone applies for settlement using set o form after completing 6 years dlr outside immigration rules (after failed asylum) could they turn around and issue you with another dlr.

Has it happened before where someone applied fir settlement using set o and they instead granted him with leave to remain.

Your help would be really appreciated

It doesn't state anything about refusal of 2x3 years dlr (outside immigration) and home office instead granting you another 3 years.
My first DLR was granted in august 2011 within the transitional arrangement.
