ILR Documents for Pre Nov 2006 HSMP

Post by GchatC » Fri Sep 17, 2010 9:21 am

Hi,

My wife is eligible to apply for ILR in July 2011. As per Set O form she has to provide proof of economic activity in UK. What kind of documents are accepted for this. She is leaving her job next month so salary slips will not be available.

I think HSMP candidates are not required to provide employer reference. I guess that letter is required only for WP holders (Tier 2).

It would be great if somebody can list the documents required for ILR (Pre Nov 2006 HSMP).

Thanks in advance.

Please search the forum as there are numerous posts by successful HSMP migrants listing the documentary evidence(s).

Thanks. Search results indeed give me a good idea about the required documents. Almost all the cases are very straight forward and members suggest to produce p60s, salary slips and bank statements to show economic activity.

The main sticking point for me is how to show "economic activity" in case someone is not working. We can produce salary slips etc for first 4.5 years but not for the last 6 months. In general, do HO expect you to be in job when applying for ILR?

As an HSMP, she is allowed to be self employed as well. Will it be sufficient to show her as a self employed (register a company on her name?) but without any income. We have a house in london and pay mortgage etc on it. Will it be ok just to produce the bank statement.

In short, we would want a way other than showing salary slips (which usually is done for immediate past 3 months before application) for economic activity.

hi
i think you dnt have to show any salary requirement if she is HSMP holder pre-nov 2006.
salary slips for last three months should be enough to show that she was financially active (any savings) and didnt use any public funds.

Thanks
