ILR Eligibility

Post by vinayse » Thu Sep 22, 2011 12:01 am

Hi all,

I was under work permit for two yrs(19/07/07-19/07/09). I entered country on 12 Aug 2007 though. So the absense peroiad is 23 days.

In 2009 , just before my work permit expired I converted my visa to Tier 1 General. Now my visa expires on 08 May 2012. So, I am not completing my 5 years until 12 Aug 2012(diff of 94 days).

My query is
1.Do i need to get an extension visa to complete 5yrs.

or

2.Am i eligible to apply for ILR.If that is the case which date i have to submit my aplication.

So i request some one to give me the clar picture.

thanks
Vinay

Under current directions, you should apply for an extension before your leave expires. However, if they haven't decided by the time you are eligible for ILR, then you may vary your application to ILR.
