ILR Eligibility under new restrictions

Post by iubus2005 » Sat May 10, 2014 3:01 pm

Hi All,
Not sure how I missed the new timing restrictions on extension and ILR for Tier 1 General. Our situation is such that my continuous time in UK started in July 2013. That means, I will be a few months short of applying for ILR in April 2018. Am I in trouble or are there exceptions that HomeOffice may make? (The other confusion is how long will my extension be approved in 2015, given my original was in 2009).

Any pointers / help is appreciated.
Cheers.

i hate to say this, but you indeed are in trouble as ILR is closed for Tier-1 holders on 05Apr2018

But there is a way. Tier-2(General) can be clubbed with Tier-1 period spent to form total 5 yrs for ILR eligibility.
