ILR in expired passport transfer to BRP

Post by Neeta77 » Thu Apr 08, 2021 11:41 am

Hi there
Hope someone can help.
My ILR granted in 2010 is in an expired passport, and I need to apply for a BRP for applying for jobs etc.
My question is in 2009 I was given a police caution for an offence that cannot be removed from your criminal record.
Will this caution be used to refuse a BRP application and if BRP is refused does it invalidate the ILR?

Any answers will be appreciated.
Many thanks

A BRP transfer application is NOT an immigration application. You are simply getting a confirmation of your status in the form of BRP.
Unless your ILR is revoked by UKVI or lapsed because you were outside the UK for more than 24 months, your status will not change

Thank you Vinny I think it might be the better option.
