ILR from EEA FP visa

Post by makwco21 » Fri Jul 03, 2009 3:06 pm

Hello everyone, can anyone tell me if is possible to apply for ILR having a EEA FP visa?

Im a non-european citizen and I have been living with my english girlfriend in Italy for the past 4 years, now we are moving to the UK and it seemed that I qualified for ILR straight away as I have been living with her abroad for 4 years. When I went all the way to Rome (we are in Milan) to talk to Worldbridge’s people and apply for it, they just did not know about ILR and they recomended me to apply for EEA FP visa and then apply for ILR once I get into the UK, which I did, but now that I got finally got my visa it seems that I wont be able to apply for ILR with that type of visa, is it true? and if its not, what is the right way to do it? how come they did not know about it, I even paid 13 dollars when I rang them for some information but they still werent sure.

Can someone put me on the right way please? Thank you for your time and your help.

Luis

To qualify for an ILE, you would also need to satisfy the KOL requirements and subsequently apply for an entry clearance endorsement as an unmarried partner.
