ILR Lost

Post by Ironman2021 » Tue Feb 16, 2021 1:28 am

Hello everyone!

My friend applied for ILR and received his decision about a month ago. BRP was issues and courier advised of the delivery. Unfortunately, My friend was not at home at the time of delivery and there is no evidence who has received the BRP card. Courier has a photo of front door. My friend gave on keep asking housemates for his BRP and reported it lost via this link.

https://www.biometric-residence-permit. ... 1613067985

Then he applied for a replacement via https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... 1613067985

"How to apply
To apply for a replacement BRP or BRC you need to:

fill in the application form
have your documents ready
pay the application fee
have your biometrics taken (fingerprints and a photo)
You will need to complete a new application for each dependent applying for a BRP or BRC.
"

I was surprised that he had to fill another application form similar to applying for ILR. Application was completed but he does not have any UAN number or link to Appointment system.

My question is does he really need to go for another biometrics appointment and his photo should be taken again, also he has to send his documents again?

How can he get an appointment? Does he need to wait for Home Office to provide him an appointment?

Very confused with this process.

Thank you,

His ILR status remains intact. The application is nothing like ILR however BRP replacement procedures require your friend to send certain documents to ensure/prove ILR status is not lost. He will be asked again to enrol his biometrics too and submit documents
