Hi All,
I first came to UK on 13/03/2007 on a work permit and was working for INDIAN IT Company.
The date on Entry Clearance Stamp were Valid from 20/02/2007 to 20/02/2009
I then got a job offer from another company in UK who then sponsored my work permit from within UK. The joining date for the new company in UK was 20/08/2008
I resigned from Indian IT Company on 30/04/2008 in UK and before leaving to India to serve the extended notice for the current company, I got my Work Permit from INDIAN IT COMPANY transferred and got a new stamp on my visa which was Valid from 05/06/2008 to 05/06/2013. The visa transfer was from within UK
After getting the visa stamped on 05/06/2008, I left UK on 10/06/2008. My last day with INDIAN IT COMPANY back in India was 15/07/2008 and I returned to UK on 18/08/2008 and started working for new company in UK from 20/08/2008.
So during 10/06/2008 till18/08/2008, I was out of UK and was not paid any salary in UK (69 days in total including weekends). The reason I was away was to serve the INDIAN IT COMPANY extended notice.
After joining the new company in UK have been in continuous employment with them and will remain to be with them when I apply for Settlement in February 2012.
Days out of UK
Date Left UK Date Entered UK Reason for Leaving
19/01/2008 10/02/2008 Paid Holiday
21/03/2008 24/03/2008 Paid Holiday
10/06/2008 18/08/2008 Unpaid Holiday
11/12/2008 14/01/2009 Paid Holiday
08/01/2010 31/01/2010 Paid Holiday
21/01/2011 09/02/2011 Paid Holiday
28/07/2011 18/08/2011 Paid Holiday
Total days out of UK 183 days (Only 69 unpaid, rest all paid holidays)
Based on above details I have below questions:
1.Do I meet the criteria and can I apply for the Settlement Visa in February 2012, successfully J?
2.The time out of UK during unpaid holiday (69 days), and total days out of UK which is 183 days, will this cause any issue?
3.Do I need UK Allowance letter from Indian company (stamped?), P60, P45 or any other documentation I need from my Indian employer? Or what documents will I need from the first employer?
Any guidance or advice will be highly appreciated!!!
