ILR POSTAL Documents- WP + Tier 1

Post by uklondonuser » Thu Jan 22, 2009 9:12 pm

Dear All,

I will be applying for ILR in Feb 2009 by Post. I was on WP for 4 years and 9 months and last 9 months will be spent on Tier 1.

Please let me know the documents which I need to send

1) I have P60 only of last year, I do not have P60 for any other year.
2) I have payslips for last 24 months
3) Bank statements for 12 months

Please let me know if I have to submit bank statements for all 5 years every single month or will last 12 months be enough?

I can submit my council tax bills, utilities etc for last 4-5 years. Please let me know what other document I should submit

Thanks for your help

Before you do anything you need to complete 5 years UK residency and then can you make your application.

As for documents you will require, apart from all the ones you have mentioned, a letter from your employer will not go amiss and of course your passport with which you enter the country on first and if you have any further passports, them too.

Good luck 8)

one word of advise.....i wish someone had given me.... don't apply by post.... these days most applications are taking more than 14 weeks,,, if you can wait and are patient enough then do postal... but if you want to be stress free the apply in person....
I applied on 6th oct 2008, based on 5yr wp... had send these docs
letter from work
payslisps for last one year
One P60 for last year
3 months bank statements
council tax bills for last two years..not necessary but i send it anyway...

result... ilr approved and got docs back on 20th Jan after I made a complaint and my local MP chased it as well for me....
Hope this helps...

Tier 1 - Apply in Person is not allowed. You have to do by post.

Hello,
I think the question uklondonuser is asking if he needs to send bank statements and payslips for all 5 years?

I am in the same scenario, applying for ilr in Feb 2009 and on the basis WP+HSMP+Tier1 , hence only choice is to do postal service.

Anyone can confirm if on Tier1 or hsmp to ilr, do we really need to submit a letter from employer on the current employment?

I heard from other posts that we should be submitting all the payslips and bankstatements from the period we have got our last extension. In my case i have got my tier 1 in July 2008, so i will be submitting all my payslips and bank statemetns from july 2008 and all my p60's for 5 years.

My understanding - there is no requirement to get a letter from employer when you are on tier1 for ilr, but I will be submitting a letter from the employer to be on the safe side.
