ILR PROBLEM - Please suggest.

Post by jimmymcad » Fri Sep 21, 2007 11:23 pm

I have asked various people regarding Entering the UK after 2 months of EC and found everyone very helpful here.

Is there a way out after 5 years for shorten period of ILR. What if anyone does not qualify for extension. Does it mean flying back to your country?

Secondly, if i fly for 3-4 days. Do i need to do anything else to mark my entry? also, flying back to my country and then stay for 1-2 months again. will it be creating problem in any sense for entering UK again? or in FLR or ILR? please suggest

No. as i am saying i will be entering the UK after 2 months of ec. ILR clock starts right after the time u enter the UK. So at the end of 5 year i will ending up getting twice FLR because my 2 months for ILR will be shorten. Correct me if i am wrong.

Thats why trying to find another way out.

Yes but everyone has to deal with that shortfall.
If you enter within a month of issuance, then you can avoid renewing.

The Immigration Officer marks your passport when you enter.
If you enter and leave for a month, thats no big deal. the issue is at the 5 year mark how many total absences you have and that you have not left the country for more than 3 months at a time if you are interested in permanent residency
