ILR - do I qualify as a dependent.

Post by harbinger13 » Sun Nov 01, 2009 1:09 pm

My wife has been in UK on HSMP (now Tier 1) for the past 3.5 years.
Got married to her 2 years ago and came to UK.
I have *my own* Work permit (and I also have my own Tier 1 General - in case of tough times).

Per current rules she can apply for ILR in 1.5 years time. In her application, do I qualify as a dependent; even though I am not on her 'dependent visa' status.

Should I be switching my visa (again) to have a dependent status?

Any thoughts regarding this - is much appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

No, u have to switch and you can only do that from your own country. I'd stay on ur current track, you don't want to be at the mercy of the missus!
