ILR - returning to UK after 6years away

Good morning sir
I worked in UK since oct2001 to may 2009. I got indefinite ( Indefinite leave to remain in the UK) VISA since oct2005. I returned to india may 2009 to look after my parents. Now i want to come back to UK for doing job. In this situation may i need to get permission from uk embassy or apply new visa or can i get old visa status.
Please give me suggestion

It may be difficult to return as a returning resident.

Likely that you have to start afresh.
