Hello
I have been a regular user of this forum which has helped me over the years. Just wanted to share my views and my experience.
I was under the HSMP April - Nov 2006 category and got my visa extended in the Tier 1 general category for next 3 years.
I applied for ILR under the HSMP JR at Croydon PEO for me and my wife who has been here with me in the UK for the last 1.5 years.
My appointment was at 10:30, but reached there at 09:30. Just had one person before me and was called for interview at 10:00. At the first counter my application was reviewed and passports were checked. The officer raised the issue of my wife not being in UK for 2 years. I told her that I’m covered by the JR then she didn’t say anything about it. Then the documents were given back and directed to the payment counter. The case worker is at the third counter. The case worker asked me to produce 3 latest payslips and employer letter. The caseworker said there was no start date mentioned in the employer letter so I offer an old payslip. The case worker also raised the 2 years issue for dependant, I gave the same answer as before. The only documents the caseworker took from the whole bunch of documents were
1. Passports (myself & wife's)
2. Copies of passports
3. Two photographs (of both)
4. 3 payslips , Employer letter (both were given back)
I was asked to collect the passport after 30 minutes, which I came back at 11:00 and collected both our passports with the Indefinite Leave stamps on it.
Hope this helps.
Thanks & Regards
