ILR

I am in UK from last 5 years, came initially on work permit in September 2006 and changed to Tier2 as per changes in law later on. I changed my job last year which was all done as per UKBA guidelines. I have all home office documents, salary slips, bank statements and P60 forms etc. to prove that.

My worry is my wife who is staying with me now since April 2010 and she was here from November 2006 to October 2007 but went back for my son who is studying back home. As per stamps and the time on her passport, she has been in UK for more than 2 years. I called up the call center and checked the UKBA site as well but cant find answers to the following:

1. As she has stayed in UK for more than 2 years, can she apply for ILR with me?
2. If Yes, what documents do we need to supply?
3. If No, how/when can she apply for FLR(M) as if I change my status to ILR, she will have to go on the FLR(M)? Can she apply with me at the same time when I am doing ILR application or she need to do at later date?

As I approached many advisers but everyone seem to have their own opinion and even the lady on UKBA call center line could not find the specific answer to my query hence posting here with a high hope of a genuine answer.
