I am on Tier 2 general and my salary is 31000 a year. I want to apply for ILR next year but they want salary above 35 k to apply for ILR , My occupation is in shortage list can i still get ILR?
also my Tier 2 Is finishing in Nov 2016 and my ten year is finishing in Aug 2016 so should i go for 10 year or tier 2 program?

for example, civil engineer soc code 2121 is in shortage occupation list but only in certain industries (oil and gas, and ground engineering).. civil engineer employed otherwise do not qualify for shortage occupation.
