ILR on 10 year Long Residency

Post by neerukonda9 » Fri Oct 14, 2011 1:25 pm

Hi

I recently made an ILR application based on 10 year long residency. But I have one gap for 45 days during my stay here. This gap is due to the fact that in Dec 2004 I made a postal application for extending my student Visa and withdrew in February 2005 as no decision is made and my wedding is due in February 2005. I used premium service on the day I withdrew my postal application and collected docs and granted further leave.

My question is is this "gap" going to impact the decision by the case worker.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance
Maruti

If you made an in-time, valid application by post, and:

1. Withdrew your postal application before a decision was made, and
2. collected your documents (submitted with postal application) on the same day, and
3. submitted an in-person application on the same day.

then there is no gap.

Thank you Mr.mehta for the reply. Yes I made the intime postal application but the only time gap is due to the fact that postal application withdrwan due to wedding but applied through premium service on the same day I collected the documents with Postal application.

So you are saying this time gap is not technically 'gap' in view of the case worker. Please clarify

Thanks again

If "date of withdrawal of postal application" (4)" is same as "date of in-person application", then there is no gap!
