ILR Visa Waiting time

Post by g1007 » Mon Aug 09, 2010 12:25 pm

Hello everyone,

The status of our(mine and my husband's) application for ILR is as following :

Applied On : 24th June, 2010
Money was deducted from bank a/c On : 1st July, 2010.
Ack Letter received On : after 2-3 days after the money was deducted ( can't remember the exact date)

Also, just to let you know that my husband is a main applicant and I am a dependent.

It's been more than 5 weeks ( 6th running to be precise) and we haven't heard anything from UKBA yet. The problem is, I have got a new job recently and I am supposed to visit USA for the training purpose at our USA based location. Can you please let me know if there is any way we can check the status of our application ? My husband has alredy tried calling them but we received a denial from their side about discussing our application. Do you think if we can plead them to check our status by giving some reason - for example, visiting home country urgently, they'll listen to us and would help us ? Has anyone tried such way ?

P.S. Our application falls under the judicial review category

See Settlement waiting times and ILR Processing Timelines - postal applications

You may request urgent assessment of your application only under exceptional circumstances. Whether or not such a request is entertained is UKBA's discretion and would require evidence(s) to support the claim (exceptional circumstances).
