I am planning to apply for ILR after October 16, 2025.
In October 2020, I borrowed my relative's car for two days while my car was in the garage. Unfortunately, I did not realize that my insurance did not cover me for driving another car. During a random road police check, I was informed that I was driving without insurance. As a result, I was charged with the offence IN10 (Driving without insurance). I accepted the 6 penalty points and paid the fine in the following weeks.
Currently, I have 6 points on my license, which are due to expire on October 10, 2025. I did not have to go to court for this offence.
How will this affect my ILR application? Should I be concerned about not getting ILR because of this?
