iltes test abroad for marriage visa

hi expert i have issue about score band for iltes test abroad for marriage visa my wife she scored on her test 3.5 and we don,t know if that score will be accepted or not she asked at the test centre if she can apply for marriage visa with that score but they have no idea!!! any one have same issue or idea about that please write back. thanks

No

IELTS tests at a much higher level that other more basic tests. Consider KET or PET

No - as Lucapooka has already said and as the document she has linked to sets out. IELTS is aimed at a higher level than A1. Your wife would need to score 4.0 in both speaking and listening (equivalent to B1, which is higher than A1). If your wife is not at this standard but has scored 3.5 she would be better of taking an easier test on the list which does test at A1 as set out in the list of approved tests.
