4 months+ no news for UK Spouse Renewal visa

Post by jimbob007 » Fri Apr 16, 2021 12:15 pm

hello!
My Russian wife is 2.5 years into the residency-track family visa. We submitted application mid-December & bios 8 January.
Since then ... only a generic Covid-delay email. We asked our MP to inquire (seems like no response) and escalated it 2 weeks ago. It's looking like they won't respond within the promised 3 weeks - or ever ...
Any insights into why this happen?
Our dossier should be fine, although our financials are a bit messy as we were both largely self-employed for the last tax year. But we got an approved accountant to certify our records and included bank statements. We have a 5yr old British child, own our house and both have PhDs.....
I've heard complaining is the only way to move things forwards - would be good to hear from people in similar situations ...
