Hi to all
Need some information regarding the appeal process . My wife lodge a appeal from Pakistan on 22nd of December 2013 against EC officer decision . The ground of refusal as written in their letter was I didn't provide enough information regarding the dimension of house I m living in London. With appeal I did forward all the relevant documents . She received a letter from tribunal which asked her to wait until 29th of May and after that they will notify us after that. My questions are
1- will Islamabad office wcontact us regarding the decesion or the tribunal ?
2- if the deceide to take a case to hearing how much time it takes.?
3- is there any chance that they can decide it only on grounds of documents we provide ?

I will be extremely thankful if some can take out his or her time and provide the information.

If ECO upholds the original decision of refusal or they do not reply back, after 29th May tribunal will set a court hearing date which will be in roughly 6 months time...The tribunal will send a notice of the hearing to you and your wife and to Islamabad
The ECO will either send the documents to court to say why they refuse or they can still change the refusal until the court hearing time...

After the hearing it takes upto 12 weeks to get judges decision

Its been 12 weeks and im still waiting for judges decision

I would say reapply as its quicker
Good luck

Hey guys,

Just a quick question,

My wife came to the uk in April 2014 and we won the appeal however 2 months after she got the visa and came to the UK, they have decided to appeal to upper tribunal. Is that even allowed? Or do the UKBA not know she is here in the UK? ( they gave the visa!!!stamped and within the passport)

Hi my husbands appeal was allowed on 29th May .
The letter you received is the determination letter
Has your wife received a letter?
My husband received the letter also

You have to wait 4-6 weeks the Home office will send the letter to the embassy where your wife applied and then that embassy will send your wife a call letter once they receive the letter from home office.
It can take upto 12 weeks for the embassy to call your wife to submit her passport for visa

Good luck
