Well my friend,

Have patience,it can take up to 10 months...we all have been waiting here if u read the previous posts. But i think u will get it within a month or 2 because its not only ur wife who is traveling...they get thousands of applications a week.
Damn to the BHC Islamabad!!!

Re: APPPEAL CASE FOR FAMILY VISIT

Post by diablo_vortex2 » Wed Feb 03, 2010 9:30 am

Why are you applying for a visit visa for your wife instead of settlement? Once the appeal is heard the judge sends out his decision to both you/applicant and the home office. The home office will then forward the decision to the embassy and they will contact you for the submission of the passport if required.
I am applying for my wife visit visa not settlement beuase settlement takes 6 months and its not settlement i am tier 1 general isa holder so just to be quick i applied for visit visa which got rejected and IT IS BHC ISLAMABAD/ABUDHABI , i am PAKISTANI and livin in UK on TIER 1 general .. also THE JUDGE clearly said i will not give you the decision now you will know the decision by post in few weaks. So if I just ASKED you guys give me an AVERAGE time line ,, for eg DATE OF HEARING 25th JAN ,, what DATE i should expect the result ,, what DATE i should expect the call letter and what date i should expect the VISA stamp ... give me dates ...if then i will not recv decision i will start taking action , like sending faces letters emails etc
BY THE WAY THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ANSWERS

There is a more recent addition to http://www.ukvacpk.com/appeals.aspx which states:

What happens if I win my appeal?
The UK Border Agency will aim to process your case within 12 weeks from the date you or your representative received your copy of immigration judge's reasons for allowing your appeal (called a determination). The UK Border Agency will write to you using the contact details provided on your appeal form (AIT-2).

Of course, that's just their target timeframe... nobody knows how long they may actually take in any particular case!

Hi people, Well to give you people a idea of processing times, My wife submitted her passport at Mirpur application center on 9th December 09, after recieving our call letter, we are into February now and we are still waiting. I have got in contact with mirpur, they tell me that the passport is still in process with UKBA, The Visa section in pakistan tell me that a decision was made on 20th December on my wifes passport, and that mirpur are responsible for handing it back to us, But at the same time mirpur tell me that the passport is still in process. They have a sick, Disgusting system, Once i get my wifes visa done am logging a complaint via my solicitor against there low level service. Pakistan and its service levels will NEVER change.

Damn its been around 8 weeks just waiting for them to stamp the passport. Our case was refused on the basis of not providing wedd pics, which we did, the ECO did not bother to look at them, I did an appeal and won the case 4 months later, The ECO withdrew his decision. Then we recieved a call letter to submit our passport which we have done, since them we are waiting. Most of the replies from the visa section do not answer my questions, and most of the time they dont bother to reply, I'm gona get in contact with the high commission now.

I got in contact with Islamabad and they told me that the passport was still in process with UKBA, So I sent a email on UKHUB.PAKISTANGeneralEnquiries@fco.gov.uk - and they sent me a reply, saying that a decision was made on 20th december on my wifes passport and that I should contact Gerrys for it. So I got in contact with Gerrys and they told me Its still in process, so am thinking WTF? I sent a reply to UKHUB asking if a decision was made on 20th, then why dont we have our passport back yet? Why are Gerrys telling me you still have it? And guess what?....UKHUB did not reply!

They are treating me like rubbish, I contact UKHUB and they tell me to call Gerrys, I call Gerrys and they give me the email address for UKHUB, Im gona question there level of professionalism when I make a complaint here with UK home office.

Has anyone else submitted there passport around or after 9th December?? If so what response have you got so far? If any.

I have some news for you today. My wife has received an email from the visa section, and they have told her that the visa printing machine has broke down afew weeks ago, and that they have 2000 passports waiting to be processed. They also told that the machine has been sent to UK for repairs and that the pakistani governments had delayed the process by not sending the machine back quick enough.

To be honest Pakistans Visa section are Shitt, They have uneducated people working for them, who cant read or write. I think the passport process will take another 2 months. Pakistans Government is crap and crupt, they are sold out to the highest bidder!

Ive been married for almost 1 year, still my wife is not with me, All i want is my wife to be with me here in UK, Is that too much to ask??

Damn them!!
