The email was received from Islamabad Visa section. They have stated that the machine broke afew weeks ago, and that It is being dealt with now. UKBA were not aware about the issue, untill now. The Visa section In Islamabad have a 2000 passport backlog again.

Issues like this should be dealt with ASAP. Not wait afew weeks then decide to address the issue. I guess i will be waiting for some time yet.
This is the most useless service I have come across. The only thing that came quick was the call letter in 8 days.

If you submit your passport to Gerrys they send your passport to Islamabad Visa section (UKBA). Gerrys are NOT responsible for visa and passports. Gerrys only accept the paper work.

Appeal.Islamabad are NOT abudhabi, It Is Islamabad Call letter and passport section. Appeal.Islamabad are responsible for sending call letters after a sucessfull appeal case.

If you submitted your passport at Gerrys in Karachi, then your passport is in Islamabad. All settlement cases are sent to Islamabad. Abudhabi center is now closed, Everything has moved back to Islamabad.

UKBA In Islamabad are responsible for the visa stamp. All centers will give the same reply, I have tried Islamabad & Mirpur and they both gave the same answer. You can still try, sometimes they reply.

Hope that answers your questions,

I agree with your suggestion bro, I have discussed this with my solicitor and she advised me not to make a complain yet, as the passport is still under them. But you can give me address and I will do it.

From what i know the abudhabi center now only deals with short stay visas. When I applied for my wifes visa, our case was sent to London. It was in London that our case was refused, all because the entry officer did not bother to look at the wedd pics, When i recieved the refuse letter saying No wedd pics supplied, I started to think WTF? Anyway I did not have to go to court, I did an appeal and the ECO took his original decision back after 4 months. I'm gona call the high commission again tommorrow, and i will keep doing it untill they tell clearly whats going on.

I have sent 3 emails to Islamabad but am yet to recieve a reply. Mirpur are slightly better, they reply the next day. Once I get my wifes passport and visa, am gona make a complaint in there Register, and get my solicitor to send them a long complaint letter listing all there failurs. I paid £800 for my wifes settlement visa application fee, and in return I get treated like dirt.

They dont answer my questions on the phone, They dont reply to my emails, What more can I do? Am gona ask UKBA to give me a job in one of there offices, and get rid of the animals they currently have employed.

Am so sick of there Low level service, If there is a delay due to machine problems then atleast have the balls to tell people. Instead they play a dirty game with people..

Dear Sir,Thank you for your e mail. Please note that there is an indefinite processing time for Call letter category. Once we receive the passport we will call you or you can check your passport status from our call center. Please also note that Gerrys have no control over the passport processingtime. You can request to BHC @ appeals.islamabad@fco.gov.uk orcasework.islamabd@fco.gov.uk We appreciate your understanding and trust in our services Thanks and best regards,RgdsDuty ManagerUK VISAKarachi.
This is the email response I have got from Gerrys Karachi. I have sent an email to all the application centers to find out about our passport and karachi is the only one that has replied. There is a indefinite processing time, so i think we will have to a while.

Hope that helps.

I have called UKBA today, I told them the sistuation regarding my wifes visa, and UKBA advised me to contact British High Commission in Pakistan, So i gave them a call 6 times, and 6 times they disconnected the call as soon as they heard the word passport. They wont give me any information at all, what kind of a service is this? Who do we contact? Who can we talk too?? They are such a con, bloody fraudsters. I cant wait to question there service level, when my solicitor writes to there HQ. Low level dogs.

When u call the Embassy they will just say'High Commission and as soon u start speaking they put u trough visa info line.U can write to croydon but the chances are nil.If u get an MP involved she can chase it up for u and a sollicitor is just like flushing ur hard earned money through the toilet.Sollicitor aint no shit u can do it ur self like how i did without a need of an f***in sollicitor.Go to ur local MP.And that thing about the machine has broken down was a good one.

The more u gonna irritate them the longer u will wait.Sending emails and calling them up doesnt make any difference.U need an Mp for it or a sollicitor if u are rich enough to waste ur money on him.

Well juba, could u plz quote the text of the email saying the printing machine has broken down. I too submitted a passport with the call letter this monday , february .
Actually i have been married for over yrs and have been following these forums closely. I have seen plenty of rumours circulating like broken machines, processing times etc. As far as i have understood about the BHC and the UKBA.... they NEVER admit their mistakes. They were able to cover the passport delay issue ,so hyped in the media in last october , so efficiently that u couldnt make out where the actual error lay The british are alwaz like that.
