Applying For Visitor Visa For Pakistani's Need To Get Nic C

Post by abbas_ali » Fri Jun 18, 2010 1:56 am

Hi everyone,

My aunty is trying to sponsor her sister and brother to come. They have paid some solicitor over there in Pakistan to help them with the application. My aunt does not have a NICOP card (Identity card for overseas Pakistani's) and this solicitor is saying it is a must she gets one made (because on the form it asks for Head of Family no which will be corroborated with her brother and sisters NIC card) and this means the UKBA can determine real blood relation.

However, this is the first i've heard of anyone saying this. Is he talking sense or just rubbish?

Thanks

Without a pakistan national Identity card, your auntie will not be able to make a Pakistani passport in order to travel to the UK or even make an apllication for a visa

You dont need a NICOP card as that is available to Pakistanis based overseas. As your auntie is not based abroad , she doesnt need this one, but she will need national identity card

Also dont listen to these so called solicitors/agents in Pakistan, most of them are crooks. You do not need to prove any relationship of your visitor with anyother member of her family (by the method you have been told) whether they be in Pakistan or UK

Thanks.

My aunt is the one doing the sponsoring (she is a UK citizen but Pakistani born). This solicitor is saying to my aunt get a NICOP card so it can be corroborated with the relatives she wants to bring over and then blood relation can be proved.

I think he is talking crap and wasting time so he can charge extra money, i told them that i will fill in the form for them and that is all.

Hi, I'm not sure how reliable your solicitor is but every applicant MUST have an NIC card or else once their passport goes into the system and is subsequently ready for collection, they will have no form of ID and Gerry's won't release the passport (in fact, they won't take the application without having sight of an original NIC first).

Hope that helps.

Ok in that case if your auntie in UK (sponsor) has a NICOP card, then thats fine, give him a copy and number of card, but if she hasnt got one, then dont go and make one as it is not required.

Your auntie in Pakistan( applicant) doesnt need a NICOP card, she just needs her Pak NIC card which is an essential requirement.

Hope that helps
