delaly more than 3 months and Mother Visit VISA

Post by tanveer930 » Sat Jul 11, 2009 1:54 pm

Hi All,

i ve appalied for my mum's visa on 08th april 2009 and status on VFSglobal website is "application forwarded to islamabad oc on" today is 11 July and still no exact responce..

tried all means gerry's,ISB,abu dehbhi via email and phone and only getting one responce that application is underprocess and going through checks.
my mum visited UK before and she is 50+.. my question is.

3 month plus time is quite significant but all the time they are saying that your application is underprocess.

anybody know any contacts to complaint about this or what should we do other than just waiting

best Regards,

Techy

HI Tanveer,

That sounds like awfully long time. it shouldnt normally take this long. Atleast they have given you an answer that its under process. On your side of things there isnt much you can do then to just hang in there. Hopefully they should reply soon.

What paperwork did you supply to them when you applied? Whats your status in th UK?

Hey Tanveer

When I was trying to get answers to visa queries, I found the only place I got a reply from was the UK hub e-mail; UKHUB.PAKISTANGeneralEnquiries@fco.gov.uk

RM786. I forgot to mention. I was also told to get a letter from my dad, in which he confirmed that me and my wife could live with him rent free, and with having to make no financial commitments.

Good luck guys

called again Abu dhabhi office and they told me there is problem with your biometrics and you have to call Gerry's for re-submitting application or redoing biometrics.

called gerry's and they insist application is still uderprocess..and they cann't do anything untill unless their record show soemthing upon which they will call applicant for resubmitting biomtrics etc.

my fear is to start the process again it took 1month to just submit the application (app was given after 1 month)..
any thoughts welcome

Hi Tanveer
You are very fortunate at least u are aware od the whereabouts of ur mom's passport.
My mom and siblings submitted visa application on 8th april from lahore(this is an appeal case) and we have not heard from the Embassy at all.
I am in UK on HSMP.I recieed a call from Islamabad High Comission in 1st Week of June saying they have called to confirm the checks...(purpose of visit..etc;) and assured that visa will be forwarded in next 10 days.
Alas! we have not heard anything at all.
My brother(working in UAE,came to lahore to apply for visa as we won in AIT appeal) has even lost his job for exceeding the stay.
We tried all measures without success...Do post the information if you succeed in getting any whereabouts.

Family Visit 5 Years

Post by saasddd » Thu Jul 30, 2009 4:52 pm

Dear all,

Just to know if anyone else is also having the same problems as us. My parents applied from Lahore in 1st week of April for their 5 yrs Visitor Visa. They have been coming here from last 25 years and never had any problems with their visa. This time I don't really understand why it has taken almost 4 months for their visa to be processed.

According to my old age parents, they went to Gerry's office where there forms and documents were taken as well as their biometrics. Since then they have been given a unique reference number which says when typed into UK Visa website that "Application is forwarded to Islamabad OC on"

I don't really understand why it has taken so long to be processed. Really worried as all our summer plans have been disrupted. It is extremely inefficient service.

I don't really know what to do?? Where do my parents have to call to check the progress on their Visa?

Gerry's Lahore?
Abu Dhabi Office?
or Islamabad OC?

Would anyone suggest what would be the best way to contact them? Email? Telephone? Fax?

Your help will be very much appreciated.

Look forward to hear from you all soon.

Saad xx

I just thought I'd share my story with all of you.

It has been 70 working days till this day since i applied on the 9th March from karachi for UK spouce visa. I still have not received any reply.

The Visa processing people made a mistake on their part and they did my fingerprints wrong. So in late april (after 30 working days from 9th March) i get a call from gerrys to come and have my finger prints do again. For this I get an appointment on 5th May to come and resubmit my application again due to the finger prints wrong (THEIR FAULT!!). I now have got a new tracking number since 5th May. I think the idiots are going to take the full 12 weeks which is 60 working days. So im hoping i should hear the results of my visa around near the end of July when full 60 working days would have passed since 5th May when I had to reapply again....so total i would have waited by then around are 90 working days!

So if the pain of waiting for spouce visa that anyone knows....its me... :(

By the way my hubby is a fully settled uk citizen doing full time engineering job in UK.

ISL - 4th June Settlement

Post by S4INT » Mon Aug 10, 2009 12:21 pm

Hello to all

My first ever post - I applied for my wife's settlement back on the 4th June 2009 at Islamabad and still waiting the outcome - showing as 'application forwarded to Islamabad Oc on ' I have chased this up a number of time but have no reply from the Immigration team in the UK since the office move- wanted to know if other have heard back or obtained Visas for applications submitted around that time

Regards,

S4INT

i think u have not been reading the fourm and you have not read my name either....

im "desperate_wife" desperate for my husband and we are all desperate for our loved ones....

u have just started and suddenly asked a question which has been asked 1000 of times on these fourms....

you have just boarded our boat of waiting.....wait until u see land like all of us. We are looking out in the same direction.

2 months waiting time for u is nothing since I have been waiting since March 9th. i applied from karachi.....NO reply yet!

sure enough they replied to my emails....but its the same old sentence...."PLEASE WAIT"

so please refrain from the same question which we are all asking....

"WHEN WHEN WHEN"

.....ur wifes visa will arrive when the merciless visa processing people have processed it....sit back and talk to ur wife on the phone....AND wait till December 2009.

PEACE!

Hello Desperate_wife

Firstly let me thank you for the warm reply posted in response to my question - really felt welcomed by you ...The reason we ask question are to look for answer but it seems to you I have come across as being selfish - the reason for my post was to get an insight into how others were doing with the wait and if any good news was received by others. I have read all forums and noticed the submission made by 2036789 on 5th July as his wife submitted at the same time and place as mine I wanted to know if anything was heard.

With regards to your case I fully understand how you feel - I'm flying out to Pakistan this weekend for 1 week as I know how difficult it can be without our loved ones.

I hope you hear good news before all of us as you wait has been too long

I would strongly recommend that u increase ur stay for at least 3 weeks.

ur wife will feel terrible with just a weeks visit......

im a woman and i know how it feels....my hubby did the same....but i dont blame him either...

i just feel sooo depressed...... :( :( :( :( :(

Unfortunatly the work i do i can only get 1 week off but a week off is worth so much as i've not seen her for 4 months now.

I totally understand your depression - the Visa people are keep all off us misinformed and each contradicts the other - i spoken to Abu dhabi, Islamabad and countless emails but none have replied of given certain answers. I was told to call back today and when i call gerry there phone line is now working - no matter how many times i press '1' for english.

i wanted to bring her back with me but i still not given up hope...as they say hope is a dangerous thing it can drive a man insane....but hope can also set him free

I applied on 15th June, got no response. I actually asked for an appointment Beginning of May? They gave me an appointment 6 weeks later.

And now here I am 10th August with no news, nothing.

Checked the website as I was entering ISL-XXXXX-XXXX, But you need to replace"-" with "/"
so just tried ISL/XXXXXX/XXXXXX/X and it worked!

its telling me application forwarded to OC on, and doesnt give me the date. Very clever, as now I dont know when the date was, so I just sit here wondering, I think they like to keep people misinformed so they run around like idiots, and dont hassle or chase them for feedback. They like tp process things when they feel like it.

Well, keep waiting,

hi D_W and S4INT.

Your posting twice by doing copy and paste. Im sorry to say but that takes up server space. so just try to keep your post in one place as they are exactly the same anyway.

hI shjeelahmed

You are in the same position as all off us - When i spoke to Gerry on Friday they stated all June and July are currently delayed - but that all the information they provided nothing else.

Just have to play the waiting game and see how long they will take - its so annoying when they don't even bother replying to emails.

As far as the comment from RM786 - point taken about duplicate posting - i agree with you

Hi D_W,

I appologise that my previous post offended you. I just thought that if i mention it you guys can post in one place. I mean in a way theres no point of posting twice is there?

To be honest D_W I think alsmost everyone on this forum comes here because there in a situtation where they can do with some help. right?? So you cant blame people if they leave after getting what they needed. Do you expect people to never leave?? it would be great if they can guide people through their own experiance after they have achieved what they needed.

As far as me leaving after my wifes visa is done, how can you possibly make that assumption? Maybe i will leave or maybe i wont, but i damn well try to help others in a similar situation while im here.

How do i know that your not going to leave. Also your visa is taking so long thats why your still here maybe if your visa had been issued you would have gone long time ago? So please D_W dont judge people in that way because they can turn around and say exactly the same about you!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I shouldnt have posted the previous and if i knew it was going to offend you that much maybe i woulndt have. So lets just resume as normal.

Thanks.
