Hello corrtec_amir

I applied from karachi as well on the 9th MArch for UK spouce visa. My hubby is a UK citizen. I was called by gerrys on the 29th April (more than 30 working days later) to get my finger prints scan done again since they messed it up....idiots..... :x

So i reapplied again on the 5th May and was thus provided with a new tracking number.

as a result my application went back to the bottom of the que. So 60 working days from 5th May for my spouce visa will come to end on the 5th Aug......hopefully after that i can expect some good news....

as u can see....people from Karachi have to wait much much longer than ISB or LHR or Mirpur....i dont know why....perhaps it politics beaurecracy or something.

were u ever called for fingerprints scan again? was anyone from karachi ever called for this reason?

OK GUYS IVE GOT THE REFUSAL NOTICE IT SAYS:

You have submitted a letter from your father in law as evidence of accomadation in the UK. You have not provided any evidence to indicate that mortgage commitments are being met. I THINK A LETTER FROM THE MORTGAGE COMPANY WOULD BE GOOD FOR PROOF???). I am not satisfied that this accomadation is available to you as claimed or that is it secure. Therefore on the balance of probability i am not satisfied that you will be adequately accommadated in the UK without recourse to public funds. Paragraph 281 (iv) of HC395.

You state that your sponsor will maintain and accommodate you in the UK. However, you have failed to provide satisfactory evidence of this claim. your sponsor works as a self- employed mini cab driver and he claims to earn £850 per month (net). I SAID I EARNT £1200.00 MONTHLY I DONT KNOW WHERE £850 CAME FROM???. He has submitted a letter from his accountants. However, the accountants themselves have not verified or prepared accounts. As a consequence this letter does not substantiate your sponsors claimed income. The Bank statements submitted for your sponsor show cash deposits but the source of these funds is not substantiated. JUST TO ASK YOU GUYS IF I GET CASH IN HAND AS A TAXI DRIVER HOW AM I MEANT TO PUT MONEY IN THE BANK OBVIOUSLY CASH DEPOSITS????. Your sponsor has no source of income outside of his work as a mini cab driver. He receives no income from friends and family. WHY WOULD I HAVE INCOME FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY??. I an therefore not satisfied that you will be adequately maintained and accommodated in th UK without additional recourse to public funds. Paragraph 281 (iv) (v) of HC395

Hello RM786.....

I have just read your post on the offical verdict...

Coincidently I just posted my reply on the other discussion foum

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... start=2640

....before I even reading your offical verdict.....and Im quite satisfied that what I suspected came out almost to be accurate........below is my verdict which I have posted in the other post

DW

=============================================

Hi RM786

I do hope the best of luck for you.....do not give up....and when appealing try not to make the same mistakes again.

From the information you have provieded, I will TRY to point out the mistakes you made in your visa application and why the visa officer has refused your wifes visa.

1) Accomodation: I think the visa officer wants to see an accomodation provided by you....not your parents. In all your paper work should have shown that you own the property (morgage or tenant). Otherwise they suspected that eventually you will be claiming some sort of housing benefit or other benefits etc....and your wife may become a burden on the UK benefits scheme.........

2) Bank Statement: I think the visa officer could not find any regular income.....there appeared no proof. It was just plain cash coming in....but from where?.....he needed to see where this income was coming from.....he could not find any employement income...and if its the self-employed income...then he could not identify that either. So he assumed that you can not financially support your wife with out a proper regular income.

The above is my interpretation of what might be stated in the offical visa rejection letter.

Can anyone else support my theory?........

However i do hope the best for you RM786....

keep us all updated on what the actual result letter stated...

Hello RM786

Sorry to hear your wifes visa is refused. It is more difficult to submit finace related papers when you are self employed, especially when you are earning cash in hand. I think the best thing to do is, if you have completed a tax return form for the year, to ask the inland revenue if they can provide you with the summary letter that gives details of your earning for the last year, and the amount of tax you have paid. If not then get your accountant to draw you up a cash flow statement. You need to clearly show your turnover, expenses, tax, and net profit for each short period.
In regards to the morgage, I am in the same situation as you, and what my farther provided was a copy of the original lettr when getting the house re-morgaged and more importantly, bank statements which show the morgage is being paid.
Hope this is of some help, and good luck.

Btw. Does anybody know how long a person has to arrive to the UK form the date the visa is given?

HI Irritatedsponsor,

Thankyou for your informative reply. the thing is i havent yet done my tax return but im going to get on the case 2mro have a talk with my accountant and get things moving. with the mortgage side of things, i will get my dads mortgage statements clearly saying they are being paid and also a letter from the mortgage provider. Inshallah with all supporting evidence BHC might overturn the refusal.

As regards to when you have to travel after your visa is issued. It was 28 days, but recently i heard from some1 that it had gone down to 18 days but im not sure how true this is.

Post by tanveer930 » Sat Jul 11, 2009 12:54 pm

Hi All,

i ve appalied for my mum's visa on 08th april 2009 and status on VFSglobal website is "application forwarded to islamabad oc on" today is 11 July and still no exact responce..

tried all means gerry's,ISB,abu dehbhi via email and phone and only getting one responce that application is underprocess and going through checks.
my mum visited UK before and she is 50+.. my question is.

3 month plus time is quite significant but all the time they are saying that your application is underprocess.

anybody know any contacts to complaint about this or what should we do other than just waiting

best Regards,

HI Tanveer,

That sounds like awfully long time. it shouldnt normally take this long. Atleast they have given you an answer that its under process. On your side of things there isnt much you can do then to just hang in there. Hopefully they should reply soon.

What paperwork did you supply to them when you applied? Whats your status in th UK?

Hey Tanveer

When I was trying to get answers to visa queries, I found the only place I got a reply from was the UK hub e-mail; UKHUB.PAKISTANGeneralEnquiries@fco.gov.uk

RM786. I forgot to mention. I was also told to get a letter from my dad, in which he confirmed that me and my wife could live with him rent free, and with having to make no financial commitments.

Good luck guys

called again Abu dhabhi office and they told me there is problem with your biometrics and you have to call Gerry's for re-submitting application or redoing biometrics.

called gerry's and they insist application is still uderprocess..and they cann't do anything untill unless their record show soemthing upon which they will call applicant for resubmitting biomtrics etc.

my fear is to start the process again it took 1month to just submit the application (app was given after 1 month)..
any thoughts welcome

Hi Tanveer
You are very fortunate at least u are aware od the whereabouts of ur mom's passport.
My mom and siblings submitted visa application on 8th april from lahore(this is an appeal case) and we have not heard from the Embassy at all.
I am in UK on HSMP.I recieed a call from Islamabad High Comission in 1st Week of June saying they have called to confirm the checks...(purpose of visit..etc;) and assured that visa will be forwarded in next 10 days.
Alas! we have not heard anything at all.
My brother(working in UAE,came to lahore to apply for visa as we won in AIT appeal) has even lost his job for exceeding the stay.
We tried all measures without success...Do post the information if you succeed in getting any whereabouts.

Family Visit 5 Years

Post by saasddd » Thu Jul 30, 2009 3:52 pm

Dear all,

Just to know if anyone else is also having the same problems as us. My parents applied from Lahore in 1st week of April for their 5 yrs Visitor Visa. They have been coming here from last 25 years and never had any problems with their visa. This time I don't really understand why it has taken almost 4 months for their visa to be processed.

According to my old age parents, they went to Gerry's office where there forms and documents were taken as well as their biometrics. Since then they have been given a unique reference number which says when typed into UK Visa website that "Application is forwarded to Islamabad OC on"

I don't really understand why it has taken so long to be processed. Really worried as all our summer plans have been disrupted. It is extremely inefficient service.

I don't really know what to do?? Where do my parents have to call to check the progress on their Visa?

Gerry's Lahore?
Abu Dhabi Office?
or Islamabad OC?

Would anyone suggest what would be the best way to contact them? Email? Telephone? Fax?

Your help will be very much appreciated.

Look forward to hear from you all soon.

Saad xx
