BHC Islamabad vs. Islamabad OC

I applied on 15th June, got no response. I actually asked for an appointment Beginning of May? They gave me an appointment 6 weeks later.

And now here I am 10th August with no news, nothing.

Checked the website as I was entering ISL-XXXXX-XXXX, But you need to replace"-" with "/"
so just tried ISL/XXXXXX/XXXXXX/X and it worked!

its telling me application forwarded to OC on, and doesnt give me the date. Very clever, as now I dont know when the date was, so I just sit here wondering, I think they like to keep people misinformed so they run around like idiots, and dont hassle or chase them for feedback. They like tp process things when they feel like it.

You are in the same position as all off us - When i spoke to Gerry on Friday they stated all June and July are currently delayed - but that all the information they provided nothing else.

Just have to play the waiting game and see how long they will take - its so annoying when they don't even bother replying to emails.

As far as the comment from RM786 - point taken about duplicate posting - i agree with you

I appologise that my previous post offended you. I just thought that if i mention it you guys can post in one place. I mean in a way theres no point of posting twice is there?

To be honest D_W I think alsmost everyone on this forum comes here because there in a situtation where they can do with some help. right?? So you cant blame people if they leave after getting what they needed. Do you expect people to never leave?? it would be great if they can guide people through their own experiance after they have achieved what they needed.

As far as me leaving after my wifes visa is done, how can you possibly make that assumption? Maybe i will leave or maybe i wont, but i damn well try to help others in a similar situation while im here.

How do i know that your not going to leave. Also your visa is taking so long thats why your still here maybe if your visa had been issued you would have gone long time ago? So please D_W dont judge people in that way because they can turn around and say exactly the same about you!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I shouldnt have posted the previous and if i knew it was going to offend you that much maybe i woulndt have. So lets just resume as normal.

By the way D_W you gave your biometrics a long time ago?? isnt the time limit up for them to give you a reply?? Honestly its appauling to see how long they make people wait. Most of the cases are people who meet all the requirements by far but have to go through this because the ECO's have this zero tolerance thing.

and how long it usually takes to wait after appliccation forward to oc, untill the paperwork is ready? anyone here been through this.

My visa application got first submitted on 9th MArch. Then the idiots called me again after 2 months to have my biometrics done again since they turned out to be wrong!....bloody idiots....all their fault! So the application got resubmitted on 5th May. More than 60 working days have now passed....90 working days will pass around mid Sep....and the absoulte final 120 working days will pass near end of Oct. The wait goes on. ...

One more this ... this is a general guidline to all. Please stop using the decimal number notaion to represent Allah's name...thats is "786". It has no meaning and is down right ridiculous. There is no Quranic ayat ot Hadeeth relating to it. You want to show ur closeness to the one true GOD...then just type His name out....Allah...or RMALLAH or t_aALLAH

..... COMMON SENSE is what Allah has given us all but we all use it very little.

So now t_a786 or t_aALLAH....hello i also applied from Karachi as described above. Were u called for ur biometrics again? When I went to do my Bio-MEtrics again ... the idiots told me that around 300 applicants were called in again to do it.........the wait goes on!

No My hubby was not called in again. Does any one knows what OC means? It has not changed for over a week. Does it take it that long.

Why is it happening to us?

I want it to be over.

Hi t_a786

OC mean overseas consulate. For example in your case its a spouse visa so its been forwarded to london "overseas consulate" to get processed. Now when they have made their decision and it returns to the visa application centre the status will change to, passport ready for collection.

please wait until early NOV ....since by then the 6months will lapse from 28th April...and by that time 24 weeks or 120 working days will pass....hopefully ur hubby will receive a reply by then...

im also expecting a reply by 30th Oct when my 24 weeks will be over from 5th May...or 120 working days.....this excludes any national or public holiday in UK and PK.

please have patience.......im desperate wife desperate from my husband...and im also going through the waiting game......

Im desperate_wife....desperate for my hubby..........this waiting game is driving me mad!

above all the reason why im so stressed out and angry is these hidious stupid people made the mistake got my fingerprints wrong and once re-done again my application went right down to the bottom of the que!.....Also what gets me very very annoyed is the currpotion and beaurecracy under the hidious clean british government face..........

what im trying to say is that WHY does not the UKBA put a hold on how many applications should be submitted each month.??.....if they did then they would use their existing human resources more efficiently.....and the visas would be processed on around the time line they provide and we would not get such non-sense statements from them that "bottle knecks backlogs etc".......its a money profit making tactic....let the cash keep comming in and do not increase human resources....thats why they did not put on hold how many applications should be comming in every month.........the result is that they are now overloaded and i dont see any chance at least until Dec 09.................

if they reject my visa........i will EXPLODE!!!!!!!!!

Im desperate_wife desperate for my husband..........and UKBA will not like it when i get mad.........otherwise i will turn in to the "INCREDIBLE HULK Female"

Yes D_W,

Its a sad reality and i hope something is done about this terrible way of the UKBA. I gave my appeal in on the 24th july. I e-mailed them on the 13th august they replied "We can confirm we have your appeal and your case will be dealt with in due course." MY MP is writing me a letter of support which i will be sending to them. Maybe it will speed up the process maybe not. Have to wait and see. You should ask you hubby to get in contact with his local MP if you have no response after the elapse of 120 working days.

Thank you for your reply. I got some updates I phoned Gerry's on Thursday and they tole me that Islamabad OC means it is in Islamabad Overseas commission's office to get visa. I explained all my situation and they told me that my hubby should get his documents back from 5 to 20 working days. But status changed two weeks ago and is still the same.

I believe it wont be too long before he gets his documents back.

I can't wait!!!

You guys have any updates please inform us too.

I will pray for everyone and my hubby to get here.

I wont take anything Gerry say as set in stone - 'OC' Stands for Operation Centre

With regards to getting doc back in 5- 20 days , they say this to get you off the phone as the information they have is very restricted - all they have is information about the application - e.g where it is as - all apps are with the British High Commission in Islamabad and then sent over to the UK for processing.

The delays we are seeing are due to the office move in the UK for the UK Border Team who decide the application.

I hate to say its going to be a long wait for us all.

I'm flying out tomorrow to see the wife for a week and here app was submitted back on 4th June still showing as ' Application forwarded to Islamabad CO on ' its been 51 working days so far.

I hope for a quick outcome for all off us.
