Confused! Extending FLR/applying for ILR

Post by NYUSUK » Tue Jan 02, 2007 4:16 pm

Hello all,

Briefly, here's my story:

3 June 2005--received FLR visa in US
12 August 2005--arrived in UK

Now I know I'll probably have to fork out an extra 335 to get another FLR for a few weeks before I can apply for my ILR, but when can I apply for my FLR (for instance, could I apply now or do I have to wait?) and (for some reason I can't read the form properly) for FLR(M) do spouses need to provide 2 years of proof of living together or is it only unmarried partners?

John, I read your response to another woman in a similar situation and you had some brilliant advice about posting the ILR app on the date the visa expires and paying by cheque, etc. I assume the gap between my FLR expiry and when I can apply for ILR is too big to pull that off??? :?
