Yes. Most importantly whenever your documents are ready only then apply but strictly before visa expiry.

FLR M forms questions . plz help

Post by leon2019 » Tue Nov 19, 2019 10:52 pm

What type of visa, leave to enter or remain or other permission do you have to be in the UK? (Required)
You can find out this information on the document which shows you are allowed to be in the UK

Visit
Work
Study
Family
EEA residence permit or card
Settlement
Other

For my wife's 2.5 years extension, which of the above will it be please?

Other than family/settlement all others are irrelevant to you. But family covers various routes and spouse visa is also one of the type of settlement. Ideally someone who has recently got extension should reply it.

I believe settlement is intended for ILR applications. I chose family for my FLR(M) application.

This should be on the BRP (issue date) or decision letter from the last application.

Thx for your replies. Much appreciate it. Do I have to book biometric appointment before submitting the application online or after. I just wonder if it possible to book it before submission of application?

Is it easy to upload documents? Any specific format of files, size and weight??

I think I will choose family route. Also for visa issue date. I think I will just put issue date of original 30 days Spouse visa to enter the U.K. It’s not really clear anywhere what the ask..

1. You book after the online process. You cannot book an appointment before.

2. Easy yes. File size limited to 6mb.

Hi
I wish to ask about scanning and uploading. I will obviously be scanning bank statements and bills etc. Do I have to scan every page of each document or just the first page? If it’s both sides, then what?
Does it have to be in a particular format? Can I scan all documents at a print shop, put in a USB stick and then upload onto online forms.

I don’t want to include my wife’s wages onto financial requirements as my income is sufficient. Is it ok if I add a few documents from her work just to show cohabitation?

Plz also can someone give me the formula of annual salary calculation for non salaries variable income plz..
Many thx for your help..

Scan both sides of the page.

For uploads to UKVCAS, it can be PDF (preferred), JPG or PNG format.

Yes, should be fine but may be worth clarifying why those were included in a cover letter to avoid any possible confusion.

"(Total gross income from employment held throughout the 6 month period prior to applying, divided by
6) multiplied by 12 = Income from non-salaried employment that can be counted towards the financial requirement."
Alternatively, taking your total income from the 6 months prior to applying and doubling it should get you the same answer for annualised income. This is the formula to apply under Category A, the requirements for Category B are a bit different.

Yes p60/p45 or any employer correspondence. Preferably don't add her payslips/employer for this purpose if you are only using your income to avoid any confusion.

Thanks a lot dear members and morderators in particular for your kind help.

I will only add her P45 and P60 and that'ss all. That should be ok just add as cohabitation documents.

My latest wageslip will be 17 days behind from the date I application submission date. I will need a letter from employer. I understand that the last wage slip should not be older than 28 days from online submission of application. what shall i do??

Category?

Post by leon2019 » Thu Nov 21, 2019 11:45 pm

I have just checked a copy of my wife's old spouse visa application which we submitted 2.5 years ago.

The category I selected then was 'settlement' and obviously the visa was granted.

Now i am confused what to select for extension. The form has two relevant categories - family and settlement. I wonder if I setttlement same as previous?.. or settlement is just when we apply for ILR... but again for ILR the forms will be different SET M insead of FLR M...

Please share your experience. thanks

My understanding is settlement is intended for ILR applications. When I applied for FLR(M), I chose family and had no issues.

EDIT - looks like I said this already so perhaps someone else can share their experience to convince you.

With regards to your other question, I'm not sure I understand entirely what you're asking. I doubt documents dated after the application date will be considered. If your latest payslip is dated 17 days before the application date, you should be fine because this is less than 28 days.

For FLR(M), after completing and submitting the application as well as paying the IHS fee, you will be directed to setup an account with UKVCAS where you will be able to upload documents and book the biometric appointment as well as purchase any additional services (like document checking and scanning), if you want them.

thanks for your replies.

If I submit my online application with application fee and IHS fee paid on 6th Dec. 2019. By then I will have my last weekly wageslip dated 20th Nov. 2019. If I get employer's letter dated between 20th Nov. and 6th Dec., will it be ok??

Once i have submitted online application and book appointment on UKVCAS, can I upload documents on UKVCAS a couple of days or so after submitting the application and making appoitment??..

Most importantly, I am still confused about the questions like: if your application is refused, will you be able to go back to your country with your husband??.. and there are three questions like this... please help what to do with them...

many thx

thnx CR001. I should have been more clearer in previous post. I mean to ask how many payslips to add in that formula to obtain annualised income for non salaried variable income... some months have 5 weeks and some have 4 weeks. I will be half way into December when I apply and giong back six months is a bit of confusing. just wonder if there is number of payslip to put inot that formula.. plz thankx

6 months of weekly payslips is 26 weeks, ie 52 weeks divide by 2!
