absolutely brilliant CR001..many thanks... lots of questions i have ..sorry...

thanks for your replies.

If I submit my online application with application fee and IHS fee paid on 6th Dec. 2019. By then I will have my last weekly wageslip dated 20th Nov. 2019. If I get employer's letter dated between 20th Nov. and 6th Dec., will it be ok??

Once i have submitted online application and book appointment on UKVCAS, can I upload documents on UKVCAS a couple of days or so after submitting the application and making appoitment??..

Most importantly, I am still confused about the questions like: if your application is refused, will you be able to go back to your country with your husband??.. and there are three questions like this... please help what to do with them...

many thx

You can continue to upload the documents on ukvcas website until the date of appointment with them

I think they are referring to EX.1.(b) Insurmountable obstacles means that if the application will be refused due to not meeting the requirement then what hardships the applicant & his/her family may face on leaving the UK to try to settle backhome/somewhere else.

Are you implying you won't have been paid between 20 Nov. & 6 Dec.?

The idea behind the 28-day rule is to use the latest wageslip.

Dear all members,

I have an important question. I meet all the requirements for my wife's spouse visa extension and 100% sure that application will be successfull hopefully. There is one question which i asked before and kindly Seagul and Geoeng responded to very well.

It's about the possibility of returning to another country if the application if refused and what affect it will have on private family life.

I have answered to this question on behalf of my wife that yes i can return to my home country but will affect my family life as my husband and childern are British and settled here. My husband has a permanent job and a house here. we have to childern who are british, one of them goes to primary school. It will affect me immensely as I will be having to leave them.

This question is very confusing and don't really know how to answer it correctly with correct words.

Another question is 'can you and your partner live in another country' I answered 'yes' and they didn't ask for any details.

About shared financial responsibilities. I pay for all the bill out of my personal account. we have joint account but my wife's wages only go into that account and she spend a little money for grocceries and a bit other shopping. All the bills, mortagage goes out of my personal account from my income. I wonder if we have to mention it on addtional information page or give a covering letter about it.

many thanks

In my view if you cannot settled outside of UK then reply 'No' to both questions

In my view giving any precise reply/evidence will be sufficient because in case of meeting the financial requirement through working then expenses/outgoings are irrelevant.

Thank you so much Seagul for yur reply.

I am non-salaried variable income employee - employed with same employer for more than 6 months. I got this 'prompt' on the online forms to submit. My question is - it says salaried employment. my employment is not salaried. i read somewhere that sometimes people have to submit 12 months payslips...??

Payslips covering any period of salaried employment (current and previous) in the period of 6 months prior to the date of application.

I chose : Not same amout continously, above financial requirement. I hope it's related to my situation and not wrongly selected.

Also, on possibility of living outside the UK if visa is refused, on the forms you have to chose one country and give reason. otherwise online forms won't let you proceed.. it's absolutely bonkers...

Online application form has been continuously becoming complicated and ambiguous, therefore, writing a covering letter addressing as how you have met the requirements is a good idea.

Thanks a lot seagul.

As I probably previously mentioned that I am a non-salaried employee on variable income and gets paid on weekly basis. I chose the option ' Not the same amout continously, still above the fianancial requirement'. I hope I chose the right one.

Far too many documents for a visa extension.

You need only 2 years evidence, from 3-6 sources in both names individually or joint names, spread evenly for every 3 or 4 months.

i am scanning documents to upload on UVCAS website later. I scan each page of a document and it's creating seperate files. If a document has 3 or 4 pages, it's creating seperate 3 to 4 pages of files of same document in PDF format.. each file size is around 4k .. Is that how I will upload ? confused...

Suppose you probably could upload them that way, but that makes it very difficult for whoever is assessing your application. There should be a way when you are scanning the individual pages to have whatever program you are using combine the pages into a single document. Alternatively you could find software to combine the individual page files afterwards. Individual files for each page makes it more likely something important will be missed.

When you say you are scanning documents, are you directly uploading documents/images onto the UVCAS website or are you printing them out and then scanning them in? Bit confused on what/how you are meant to do it

Please ask on your own thread if you are confused. Gets a bit messy when people are asking for help with their own situation and then others jump in for help with theirs.

Just thought it was relevant, considering it’s the same comment about uploading and scanning a document

Fair, but one of the reasons you may be a bit confused is that you've asked pretty much the same question in 3-4 other threads and the process is a bit different depending on whether you are applying for a first visa or an extension and even which country you are applying from. If you start your own thread, members can give their experience based on your situation.

That is the correct answer but until few months ago the online form was having an error of mistakenly assuming it as category B and ask 12 months of payslips & bank statements. Not sure whether has it been fixed now.
