I think it will only show when youve applied online and you go to select VAC or self upload option. Im not at that stage so I can't comment. I think either, upload yourself, or take all relationship evidence. but dont go overboard with the communication, i.e. just take selected evidence for communication etc.

I'm really not sure. I'd expect it to be easier if they're wanting less proof of relationship.

tania-
i cant comment on self upload as i opted to go into the visa centre in person. the self upload isnt up to scratch as far as im aware, lot of issues with file sizes and error when uploading.
This is my fear. Self scanning documents and encountering issues. And there’s no turning back if you select self scanning and have a change of mind
The UKVCAS website for self scanning is flaky and unstable but patience and persistence does pay off. It's taken me 3 days over the weekend to upload a friends documents owing to problems logging in and staying logged in. I expect weekends are busy and volume of users may cause problems. This morning at 8am it was very responsive and only kicked me off once :) My advice is to give yourself plenty of time (unlike my friend who got an early appointment and panicked) and you can go back as many times as you wish.

Hi, went to the London VFS office yesterday and the office clerk said that there had been changes from Feb 2020 regarding document submission, specifically:

o No whatsapp logs
o No call logs
o No money transfers
o No wedding card invites
o Only 10 pages of relationship photos

There was a page she provided where it had this information but I wasnt able to make a copy.

Has anyone heard this too? If so it would be good to view the PDF once again, I would share it if I had a copy but I dont.
Hi Suhail,

How can an applicant can prove whether their relationship is genuine without all these? :|

Any of you realise if they tell you the last date of biometric appointment needs to be done by? When you submit and pay for application... As some saying can not get appointments for 1 month and others saying need to be done before visa expiry 28 days?

It was good, she applied for her visa we are waiting to hear back. Did you apply for your spouse visa?

Thanks for your reply Shyam. Hopefully, you will hear a positive news soon. This a stressful time in India and UK. Don’t need another reason to stress over!!

Unfortunately, my wife hasn’t got her IELTS life skills certificate even though she had her exam in mid February. It got delayed due to an administrative error in the beginning. Now it’s going to be delayed further due to the lock down in India. I can only apply for the visa after obtaining that certificate. This application process is very time consuming and causing stress, still thinking about going through a solicitor.

Hopefully you dont need a solicitor. You can do it yourself!!. They are very costly. What other complications do you have?

I can apply by myself. It’s just time consuming and stressful process. I had look at some questions. They were confusing/ misleading. Yes, they are very expensive. The cheapest I found was £350.

My application will be straight forward. My only concern is proving our relationship prior to the wedding. As you may know, there is a lot religious and cultural restrictions in an arranged marriage. Hopefully, that won’t be a huge problem.

How’s your application going? Did you hear anything? Did you apply from India?

Dont worry about pre marriage so much. As long as you have a few pages of photos post marriage then its fine. They are aware of cultural wedding. Similar to my one they were understanding and application was successful.

Your better putting that 350 towards a priority application. But i would wait until the covid-19 situation gets better. as your documents (especially financial ones) need to be dated within 28 days!!

Also ensure your ielts form has passport information to match. I read online someone didnt get that added and didnt get theirs processed

At user Mallu_desi, can please you continue your questions in your own topic you already have, where you have been given extensive advice already. It is unfair to others to keep tagging onto other members topics, which creates confusion.
