Document Check List FLR - Spouse

Post by peacetrustlove » Fri Sep 13, 2019 12:05 pm

I'm a British national and my wife who is from India is now applying for an extension. I just wanted to run through the documents with experienced folks before I submit her application next week. We are both divorced. My children are in the UK and hers are back in India.

* Completed Application Form
* Copy of IHS Payment
* Mortgage Statement for the house we live in
* Birth certificates for her 2 children
* Proof of address of her ex-husband where her children live
* Letter from ex-husband confirm financial responsibility and access right
* Birth certificates of my children
* Proof of address of my ex-wife in the UK
* English language pass certificate from Trinity College
* Employment contract
* Last 6 months payslips for my wife
* Last 6 months bank statements confirming salary
* Letter from my own company confirming her employment, wages, start date etc
* P60 for 2017-2018 & 2018-2019
* 1 Marriage certificate
* 2 divorce documents, one for her and one for me
* Address proof council tax bill for 2017, 2018 & 2019, 4 x bank statements in joint names from 2017 & 2018
* My water bill from 2018 January, 2018 December
* My mortgage statement from 2017
* My credit card annual statement from September 2017 & 2018
* Wife's surgery registration April 2017
* Wife's NI Number from jobcentreplus - May 2017
* Wife's Homeoffice letter March 2017 for changing name on BRP
Are the letters sufficient?

All these I shall upload to the Sopra Steria portal

My passport entire copy showing my travel history. Do I need to upload this?

I have not included any pictures or text messages. Shall I send these? We've had many holidays together, some with my 3 children. Shall I send itineraries for these and pictures from the trips?

Please share your experiences folks.

Thanks
Tushar

If she is working in your company then she will have to supply a lot of other documents regarding that company instead just payslips and employer letter and bank statements

Thanks seagul for your responses.

Yes, we have a CEFR Level 2.

What other documents shall I submit if she works for my own company. I receive payments from Google, Apple & Amazon every month in my Business Bank account and wages are then paid into our personal accounts. Should I submit my Company Registration Certificate from companies house and bank statements?

Appendix 1.7, section 9, point 9.7 on page 63 and point 9.8 on page 65 explains what substantial documents are required if she is employed by a family member.

Thanks CR001. As this is last minute, I do not have time to obtain original bank statements. Will prints be okay? I'll upload PDF files to the UKVCAS website.

Also, my accountnt is on a holiday and I won't be able to obtain a certificate from him in time stating that my company doesn't need to submit audited accounts. Should I include a cover letter to point this out?

Finally, my wife is an employee in my own Limited company. I haven't filed CT for 2018-2019 yet. I'm there by submitting CT for 2017-2018 and I'm submitting her entire lot of PAYE slips, personal bank statements & my business bank statements for that period. Does this sound correct?

Truly appreciate your help.
