Error on spouse visa vignette sponsor’s name

Hi I wanted to ask people here if anyone has had any experience in this. I would greatly appreciate any path, hope that you all can share. We received my wife’s spouse visa in Mumbai couple of days back with a 90 days validity. Although the joy was momentary. On her vignettes sticker, the sponsor’s (husband, myself) name is totally mixed up. For example if I am (sponsor) “A B Smith” then the name written after to her visa type is “X Y CAMPBELL” a totally different name which is unlikely to be a spelling mistake. All other details are correct. So we are not sure if they have assessed it against a wrong sponsor or it is just an administrative error.

This has put us in further stress than we were already in. We have contacted ukvi through paid service straightaway but have heard nothing yet. Basically we we have been told to wait upto 15 working days to hear from them about the next steps. It is really disappointing and very frustrating. Has anyone been or know of similar circumstances and what happens in these situations?

Thanks mate, I did check this and asked my wife to visit visa application centre who asked us to send an email inquiry to ukvi.

Hi it has been a really frustrating experience. It's been nearly 2 weeks since we received the Visa with this error, we escalated the case from Sitel to UKVI. Got an email from UKVI Sheffield escalation last week saying we have received escalated case and will be in touch "as soon as possible." No timeline, no indication of when we would be re-submitting the passport. We still have the passport with us. Tried calling helpline (Sitel) who keep saying we can't do much about it, just need to wait and wait. We are running out of options and time really. Any help guys?
