Excemption to minimum income/military discharge.

Post by KeithG » Wed Jan 23, 2019 10:18 pm

Hi All

First post so first of all thanks for taking the time to look.

Will keep it short, I might my now Chinese wife 3 years ago. I sponsor her as I met the rules and regulations we got married last year.
She now loves with me in the U.K.

I have just been made redundant, not panicking just yet as lots of time to find another job anyway...

I came across a thread regards exceptions to the minimum income that may include myself.

10 years ago I got a military discharge after serving 9 years in HM Forces. I receive a small war pension.
Does this mean at the 2.5 year visa renewal assessment I could show that I receive a war pension and may not need to prove the minimum income threshold ?

Please tell me straight if I have it wrong haha

Thanks again
