Fiancé Visa from Pakistan

Post by Gutterville » Wed Apr 17, 2019 2:20 pm

Hi all,

I wanted to know the success rate of a fiancé visa from applicants from Pakistan. I'm a UK citizen and more than meet the requirements both financial, living arrangements and any other requirement stated on the gov.uk website. I am due to get a nikah in December 2019 in Pakistan, I want to bring my fiancé back with me after the nikah sometime in the middle of December. We are due to then get married in the middle of January in the UK and move to the next level after the fiancé visa.

I am determined not to leave her in Pakistan after the nikah and it would be the worse thing if she had to remain. What are the biggest challenges facing Pakistani's getting the fiancé visa. I just wanted to get this forums stories about a fiancé visa from specially from Pakistani's and the success rates.

Many thanks for your help.

regards,
MSS

If you marry in Pakistan, you can apply directly for a spouse visa. No need to remarry in the UK.

Settlement applications from Pakistan are taking between 60 and 120 days at present.

You can do the 1 day and 5-day service for £800 and £500 respectively. I wanted to know if that's affective or not for Pakistani applications?

No it is not applicable for applications outside the UK.

Hello,

Nikkah is classed as marriage. Nikkah date is what you would put on your application form as the date of marriage.

Ensure, you get your Urdu Nikkahnama transltaed into English and also take your Urdu Nikkahnama to the local Union Council and have it registered. They will provide you with a Marriage Certificate which is in English on one side and Urdu on the other.

Thanks

You don’t have an option but to leave her unless you stayed with her.

Any visa takes time and there is no ‘immediate’ solution to bringing her to the UK.

You could pay extra for priority, if that service is still available, but even then there is no guarantee the decision will be made quicker.

Suggest you concentrate on ensuring you can evidence all the requirements to reduce the chances of a refusal as opposed to rushing through.
