Hi all , so I’ve been following this trend as of February and I didn’t say anything .

Applied for FLR (FP) parent route - 5 year route

Post application - 14 February 2018
Home received- 15 February 2018
Acknowledge letter and biometric letter received-23rd February 2018
Biometric done - 3rd March 2018
Rang my solicitor on 5th June asking her to ask home office to make a decision quickly due to having an emergency to leave the Uk urgently -
Letter sent out 6th June
Home office received the letter - 7th June
Decision was made on the 8th June
Biometric printed on the 9th June
Passport and documents received -11th March
Biometric card received - 12th March

Granted 10 year route ..
I’m not happy I was being placed on a 10 year route with no recourse to public funds because my child is full British citizen.

I was told I could appeal to get the no recourse of public funds removed because my situation has changed the last 2 months of application being in process.

Has anyone being granted public funds on either route of 5 / 10 year’s or appeal to have no recourse to public funds disabled?
All the best to everyone 🙂

So right, people should appreciate what they have:

Flr fp as a parent route 5 years
Applied via post : 02/10/2017
Acknowledgement letter: 5/10/2017 and my son's passport and birth certificate returned.
Bio metric letter received: 26/10/2017
Bio metric done : 31/10/2017
Calls made, chase up letter from my MP 26/03/2018.
No further document requested for yet
Decision of decision: pending
Date of brp received: pending

This is my eight month since application. Can't work and taking craps from my son's dad because I have rendered hopeless and useless that it is a struggle to feed and pay bills.

Mister123 hiiii so we went court today, it was very mm surreal, I did pay for a barrister a senior one and it was worth every penny, I was very nervous I even cried, HoPO accepted my insurmountable obstacles due to my partners illness, they didn’t say nothing about my tourist status, it was just focus on proving that my partner and my daughter can be without me for a month or so but because of my husband’s next course of treatment is in July it will be hard all in all I worried too much, the judge said she’ll give me her decision whitin 3 weeks so I have to wait a bit more now ... have you got your hearing date ??
Starboy, like I said I was so worried about the hearing but now I’m back to normal I really hope the judge allowes my appeal and I don’t want to feel super confident and then be sad again, thnx for the good vibes 🤗 I really hope for the best to all of us. I keep you updated !!

I've got a good feeling you will get it.

Can I ask you if your barrister did all the talking or did you do some too?
If you did, what did the judge ask you?

Thanks and stay positive! :)

Ok once you find out where your hearing will take place I told the receptionist About my hearing then she called my barrister which did another skeleton argument and some research on my partners illness the cost in Mexico and is close to £80 000 imagine in mexican peso it’s unafordable, so what happened next is my partner waited outside and I went into the courtroom the judge arrived and she asked some points of refusing to HOPO he was the one that asked me questions about my partners illness, how do I care for him, how do I look after Amelia, why can’t I go just for a couple of weeks to get the proper visa, and as he was asking the barrister was saying page 39 evidence that stress cause my partners flare ups of his symptoms and the judge was always just taking notes, or that kind of relating my answers to evidence from our bundle, to be honest I think if you can afford one do it because we are on so much stress that we might skip something, another evidence strong on my case is that my mother in law’s doctor wrote a letter about her illness and how she couldn’t look after my partner and an 8 year old, then they called my partner in they asked him the same line of questions and then, HOPO said his final argument in which he said well We acknowledge excepcional circumstances but we are just saying she could go mexico just for a couple of weeks a month Max to gain right visa entry and my barrister staring why that could not be possible just right now the judge then told me she will
Come to a decision as fast as she can and that was all !!

I hope I answered your questions, this was my experience!! I keep you updated!!

Hi all,

I have just found this forum and amazed how helpful this could be.

I have also applied for FLR(FP) just over 8 months now and I have received the same standard message from HO.

Application made in October 2017

Biometrics provided November 2017

Received an acknowledgement letter from home office stating that my case falls outside standard time and a decision would be reached asap. Its been over 8 months now and nothing.

Just this week I phoned them up and they said someone would email me only to find that the email is also a standard message and I was very disappointed.

After providing biometrics I have not received any ID card. Was I supposed to receive one?

As for the time being, we have no documents at all. We are not allowed to work, don't have any sort of benefit obviously..

It's difficult to keep up hoping that we will have an outcome anytime soon.

Someone mentioned contacting my local MP but not sure if that would bring any problem to my case.

Can anyone help at all?

Many thanks

Hi everyone

I applied for a FLR fp for my wife. We have british son who is 14 months old and I am a british citizen. The reason I applied for FLR fp is because I just finished university and was working part time so I didn’t meet the financial requirement. I applied for my wife in November postal application and she also enrolled her biometrics then. We then got the standard letter that says it’s complex etc. I emailed them a few times and also rang the 0300 number but they say my case been escalated since my mother in law is sick. But unfortunately they keep in replying saying your application has not been completed. I went to see my mp yesterday and he said he will send them a urgent letter. Let’s see what happens now. I’m probably going to have to cancel my wife’s and sons flight tickets since we are meant to go in the first week of July. Feel very gutted 😞 but hopefully hear something soon. Sorry for the long paragraph but this forum has helped me a lot so I thought il share my journey so far. Everyone pray for me please 🙏👍🏾

Thanks Bathanza
I applied for FLR fp for my wife . Me and my son are british citizens
From my own experience if you have waited for more than 6 months then it’s best to contact them continuously. Il post below my full timeline so it can help my fellow people hopefully.

Applied 23 November 2017
Biometrics enrolled 27 November 2017
Rang 0300 number on 27th may 2018.
They emailed me on 28th May saying’application still not completed’
I rang them again the week around 5/6th June. The advisor wasn’t really bothered and they actually said I have to wait 1 whole month for another update.
I rang the following week telling them my mother in law is ill back home and also send a letter to the Sheffield P.O. box. Didn’t receive any acknowledgment about the letter.
On the 15th June eid day I emailed them by selecting the option applied outside the uk but in the email I explained that I need to travel in July etc. It cost me £5.48 for the email.
Again they replied the same generic thing saying application not been completed. I rang them a couple days later on the outside the uk line which cost 1.31per min. To be honest That advisor was helpful and he said he will escalate the case again but unfortunately the following day I got the same reply ‘app not completed ‘!! I was very gutted to see that but on the 20th of June I went to see my Mp. Now tbh my mp said he would send HO a letter but today I received the visa and it is dated 20/6/18 so Im assuming the MP had no input. Nevertheless my wife has received her visa and now I can take her abroad to see her Unwell mother. JUST WAITING FOR MY BRP HOPEFULLY IT DONT TAKE LONG.

Also if anyone wants any general advice feel free to ask Bcos this forum helped me a lot and I am more than happy to help others

Kind regards
Tanvir

Application type (FLR(FP) British wife and 4 British stepchildren. Overstayer - 2 years to date.
Application Submitted on : 24/03/2017
Postal or In Person Application : POSTAL
Acknowledgement Received on: 10/04/2017
Biometric Letter Received : 10/04/2017
Biometrics Enrolled on : 12/04/2017
Additional Documents Requested on: 12/06/2018 (but dated 07/06/2018)
Additional Documents received: 20/06/2018
Decision of Application : GRANTED 10yr partner route
Date of Decision : 20/06/2018

The last week since additional documents letter request has been emotional to say the least. We knew the decision was nearing and discussed next steps to take in every possible outcome.
Solicitor called today to say Granted letter received. Card will come next week hopefully. Absolutely Relieved that it’s finally our turn for good news, been such a long wait and looking forward to having a “real life” with my husband.

Well I am not expert better you take proper advise from good legal firm but only I know you should make an appeal immediately because you are in risk being detained. You can make late appeal on special circumstances I believe you are covered in special circumstances because you received post late and Royal Mail do many mistake. So appeal immediately and court will accept it . Good luck I applied same times yours and I was refused in May 18 and appealed and received the hearing date with in 2 month after appealing.
