Hello, I'm in a similar situation to yours. I made the same type of application (FLR FP) as yours at about the same time as yours as well. I also just received a letter from the Home Office requesting further proof that my child lives with me in order for them to make a prompt decision on my application. This is despite sending all such documents with the original application. Nonetheless I have sent the requested documents. Do let me know if you receive any further correspondence from the Home Office on this issue.

From the comments I've seen, it seems to be a positive sign.

When did you get the letter and sent the documents??? Yeah i will keep updated when i get the reply. There is one more person in this forum who is in similar situation and he sent documents on 30th july.
Hi,
Can you please tell me a bit about your case history?

Yes my kid was born here.
The kid was 3 when we applied.
Home office said the child was not up to 7 years hence refusal.

Hey, congrats!

Did you use a solicitor for your case?

I was wondering why did the Home office delivered to your home as they would normally send it to solicitors??

I have received the request for further proof we live with children and they said they would decide on our case promptly.. Its been a week now and I haven't heard from them.. Your case was a matter of a day right?

Amazing!

You are both wrong. There is something called FLR (FP) based on Private Life. The age of the child is irrelevant in this case.

hello georgioche,I will advise you to wait for the child to be 10 years, then I applied for naturalization for him then wait for the child passport to be out, then u can apply under 10 years route of a British child.even 7 years route will not be granted, stop wasting your money,or seek better advice from a good solicitor, that's my own advise.thank you

You sound too sure that in 7 year child cases, homeoffice does not issue visa. Can you pls add some reference to it if you have one.

That would have been ideal but how does one feed, pay rent and maintain the family with children for the next 4-7 years without the right to work or rent? If I can get my right to work reinstated, I wouldn't mind waiting that length of time.

it was once happened to me,I applied with my son,s British certificate when he was 7 years,my application was refused with no right of appeal then, reason being refused then was based that we are not qualified then, even the home office suggested that will should wait till my child is 10 years, rather than wasting money, most lawyer will deceive you,but they will never tell you the truth, home office are not stupid, they followed laws.so I listened to home office, waited for 10years routes, I did my child naturalization, that took about 4 months, after I applied for my child british passport ,that only took 2 weeks to be out, then I applied as a British parent on a 10 years route.thanks

Hi Arham208

We've applied via FLR (FP) . My two girls were born here, one over 6 and the other just over 2. We've focused on the 6 years old for the application and also in my wife's case, as she undergoes treatment for a disease she endured for many years here and doctors were keen for her to stay and finish the treatment. The 6 years old is now 2 weeks from turning 7 so in our reply, our solicitor also made further reference to that and we've also hit them with everything they asked for.

We applied October 2017, biometric done November 2017. Then after contacting MP and sending HO a letter through our solicitor, we received a letter from HO asking to provide further documentation to prove the children live with us (which is a very silly thing to ask for). They gave us the deadline 3rd September to provide those, we posted on the 30th of August, they received it the next day. Its been now just over 8 days and still waiting.

On their letter (HO), they mention they would make a decision promptly upon receiving the documents but nothing so far.

I have faith it will happen today, I'll keep you guys posted!

Hi, vini81,
Hopefully u will get the visa on ur wife treatment, as far for your child, she didn't complete 7 years here so may be they will not consider her, as in my own experience judge didn't gave us visa stating that my child didn't spend 7 years here....
But hopefully on behalf of ur wife treatment and condition they will definitely give u descrinatonary leave to remain...
Hope for the best... I am now send the proofs of my children tomorrow, let's see when I will get response..
But u will get response by the end of this month.. Please do update us... Praying for u as well

Amazing!

Hi,

I have posted a comment on your reply but for some reason the administrator 'did not allow' it to go through. I would like to know why...

Anyway, my daughter didn't complete 7 years here but she will as she's two weeks away from it and we still live here.

I mentioned other things in my response, such a shame it wasn't posted. Perhaps it still will be...

I'll keep everyone posted.

Hi,

Each case is different and for applications involving human rights, which I suppose is your case, the letter you received is pretty much a standard one.

We've received the same letter and it's been 11 months now waiting. We've now had a request from them to provide further documents and that they would reach a decision promptly so, hopefully in the next few weeks.

I've seen people here waiting 10 months and over and some cases, well less so, it all depends on a number of factors.

Hope yours will be sooner.

Hiya , I am silent reader I have sent further requested document on 1st of Aug still waiting been more then month , you guys got any news ?

I applied in April 2017 acknowledgement and biometric in May 2017 after that nothing at all.on 16 July 2018 asked for additional documents which was sent on 30 July 2018 waiting since then nearly 2 weeks but we can only hope my friends.
Did they ask you to prove the residence of the child is same or not and to prove that parents are listed as emergency contact in school and gp.
Yes they asked us to send the bills or gp documents on the same address and also the proof of the child living at the same address letters from gp and school etc and specifically from April 2017 since I send the application.
okay, so we could get the same decision hopefully good. As i never heard that they ask for additional document in 7 year cases,. they just simply refuse or allow.
