Hi, welcome to the waiting team!

There's a bunch of people here waiting after sending same documents requested by HO and we also have the same hope after reading they would make a decision '' promptly ''.

Now, that '' promptly '' will definitely not mean within a few days as I expected. In my case, its been 5 weeks and still waiting.

Now, to say that they will definitely grant you visa, I would preferably wait and hang in the hope that our cases are good with legal bases enough for them to grant the visa. I am sure you think your case is good enough and so do I.

Be optimistic but do hang in there hoping for the best. It will happen anytime soon!

Best of luck!

Hello guys, I was on tier 4 visa and I applied for flr fp on october 2017 before my visa expires. I have a british wife and a british child. My son was born after i applied for flr fp. Sent my son's birth certficate on may 2018. I did not get any response from home office until yesterday. My lawyer got an email from home office saying their aim is to make a decision on my case promptly and requested additional documents before 16th of october, If I fail to produce the information requested within the time that has been given they warn that the application will be considered on the basis of the information currently available. I sent my child's british passport and his gp and medical letters along with my wife's pregnancy letters. I am happy that they finally want to decide on my case now but also a bit confused, Does this mean they will grant me the visa?

Hello it’s for any child who has spent 7yrs or more whether born here or not.Its likely to be stronger for the older child who would have built more of a private life

Thank you, best of luck to you too. There's something wrong in the email the HO sent to my lawyer. They were asking for the documents about why I cannot travel back to my country, If im sick and all that, they were also asking for my wife's pregnancy letters as if they are not aware of my child's birth. Which doesnt make any sense at all because I have sent my child's birth certificate on May and my lawyer is suspecting that they didn''t get my child's birth certificate and still considering my case on previous circumstances. So my lawyer wrote a letter to them saying my circumstances have changed and gave them the reference number of the royal mail delivery when we sent my child's birth certificate. I dont get it how HO can make mistakes like that, Will this make my case complex now? Im a bit worried.

The reason they gave is v don’t come under the law of 7 year as my Uk born child is 6 and other child who has spent 7 years here is not born in Uk .unless we can show them why it’s not beneficial for children to go back our country .they have given right of appeal .
Time line is applied flr 17 oct 2017
Further docu requested to send on 2 Oct 2018
Which v send in 1 Oct and recieved refusal on 3rd Oct .

Hey Monz,

Sorry to hear of your refusal but be very grateful and hopeful that at the hearing you will get your visa. I have sent them my documents on the 31st of September, haven't heard from them since then. Yours was quicker..

I have a friend who just got refused after a 16 months wait with the right to appeal. He thought it would take time for the hearing but they have already gave him a date which will be in November 19th in Birmingham( they live in London).

Best of luck!

Zee,

When I contacted my local MP and he wrote to HO, on their reply letter the HO stated that if I was struggling with the same kind of struggle you're going through, that I should look for the social services in order to get help from them. We also have a 3 year old and a 7 year old both born here, we live in a 1 bedroom flat. Trust me when I say it's difficult to live without a decision but be optimistic, your time will come.

May the Lord comfort you!

probably your lawyer lied to you, that he has submitted, home office take money immediately they receive your application, at least within 7 days not 27 days, its not normal, contact your lawyer back and tell him to show u the proof of submission, if it's true he submitted that particular day, then your lawyer needs to call home office if I doubt he submitted at that particular time, and again ready to wait for at least 9 months too one year for a decision.thank you
