Hello all.

Apologies in advance for not using the correct terms etc. I am enquiring on here to help a dear friend. Really hoping someone on here can help...
She completed her FLR (FP) in May. She submitted all her documents at a service snd support centre. She is yet to hear anything. Is this normal?
She first arrived in the UK in 2010 on a spousal visa. She missed her 2 year deadline to apply for indefinite leave. And as a penalty has had to renew every 2 years and extend her visa. This is her last extension before she should be able to apply for indefinite leave. In theory.
How can we get information from them regarding her application? She feels she submitted documents to rhe wrong centre. Any help or direction would be most appreciated.

Pls did you apply for the Schengen visa yet? I checked on their website and you need an employment letter when making the application. My son's father wants to make an application after receiving his BRP last month.

Nah let's be hopeful, Fingers crossed they send back your decision letter along side your passport soon.

Yea i'm sooo excited to take my son to France, to be honest I just want ti get on the plane hahah :D

Let me know how it goes.

Ah that’s brilliant news.

I’ll write them tonight, by send first class post tomorrow, I wish they had an email I could even write to. They haven’t even sent me the decision letter to start with, they only sent all support documents back with the BRP

Haha! Brilliant I bet you’re mad excited about your holiday.

I was so hyper but now they’ve killed the spirit 😂. I just pray they haven’t lost the passport because Nigerian high commission is a mad house.

I’ll let you know when it comes

Hie Shooroma. Yes it was my first time. My story is as follows :
We( me and my daughter) came here in 2010 on a tier 1 dependent visa. As a spouse and daughter respectively. We renewed the visa in 2012 in a different category, as tier 4 dependents. In 2014, 2 weeks before my now ex husband was due for ILR, he decided to file for divorce and inform home office. I also confirmed the development and my visa was refused. I appealed against the decision and the judge was kind enough to allow the appeal outside immigration rules, simply based on the fact that my daughter still wanted to see her dad who had just obtained his ILR even if we were going through a divorce... We got our leave outside of immigration rules which expired 4 November 2019. By then we did not qualify for the 7 year rule as we had been here only 6 years. At the beginning of the appeal we were only 4 years but the case dragged on due to backlog at the tribunal and it took us to 6 years.... So this application is the first flr fp application one under the 7 year immigration rule as my daughter has now been here for 7 years continously. And we got the visa in under 4 weeks from start to finish.. I would like my story to inspire somebody as l don't know your story but there is always light at the end of the tunnel!!💡🤗

Hi Nehag

I am an overstayer and i am trying to get married to my partner in the uk. How did you go about it that they allowed ypu to get married in the uk. My problem is home office is holding my passport so i dont have any proof of identity ro take to the registry.

Hi everyone, i have been reading the posts for a long time. I just applied for the flr fp as a married partner. I am a overstayer but we were allowed to get married by home office without any interview. But I need to report to immigration center every month. What are my chances of getting approved ? I have also done my English test .

they requested more bills to cover a 2 years period of me and my partner living together, my solicitor didn't mention that to us she said they need bills for the last 6 months only, luckily I have the documents and I will send them tomorrow .

I will keep you updated .
Hi everyone, today I got my GRANT OF LEAVE TO REMAIN 10 years route, I'm still in shock lol .I thought it will take a long time but I was wrong, can't tell you how happy and relieved I am right now, after a long hard 15 years I got my freedom at last ,I pray for you all to get a positive outcome to your applications .

Congratulations on your freedom hayats.
As per your previous post and presuming that was the sole reason for the hassle you went through , I am really concerned about some solicitors who are supposed to be points of solutions to people's problems in their area of law specialization being the or causing further problems.
Is there a way they are he'd accountable I. E. Being sued, refund of the fees they billed clients or sanctions by oisc?

Hi midas22 I gave a notice of marriage to a register before I submitted my application to home Office since I had my passport with me i was able to register my marriage. If your passport is with home office then you need to ask them certified copy of your passport I think .

Also try and include your hospital letter when you gave birth and also if you have any letters from hospital or clinic for your child.

These where the documents I submitted for my fee Waiver and application.

I have attached a file.

In my case I also printed off pictures of my son and 1, I included his birth certificate, and every other documents listed in the file I attached.

I didn’t use a lawyer, I did it myself with the help of a charity.

Hope it helps

Hi Auk333,

Personally, I would give them another couple of weeks . You start counting from the day you receive your written determination from the judge and home office has 14 days to appeal the decision ,I think they are allowed a few extra days on top of the 14 days for them to still lodge an appeal but in your case I think they are now very much out of time and it very unlikely they will appeal as you have not heard again from the court so its just a matter of waiting and the Home office will soon write to you informing you of your grant.

Good luck

When did you lodged your appeal ?its normally taking month or two months to send you notice of hearing then further 2months some time.but you need to start preparing your bundle now.make sure you write your witness statements very good explain each and single thing.

Good luck
