Hi auk33 thanks for the reply. I am from Nepal and my husband is from Philippines. We are from different religious faith. How long the hearing might last. I have been here for more than 10 years will they ask every details about while I was on student visa. I have the toiec issue but while they refused the application they never mentioned about toiec .

Hello everyone I have a question. I am due to apply for my extension in a couple of months. I am on an FLR FP 10year route based on British partner and child. Do I need to take an English test. I didn't take one when I applied first time. I just keep seeing posts about an English test on here. I was under the impression it's for 5 year route and spousal visa.

Thank you for your time.

Hi nehag I am sorry for the late response to your post
They hearing not take longer after you lodge the appeal but now it’s corona etc and the tribunal judges I think deciding how to lists the case because of this corona that’s something I saw online.
It should be ok you can win it if you got plenty of documented prove and you can show them insurmountable obstacles. Just instruct the good barrister and also make sure your witnesses statments is explaining everything very well with documented evidence good luck

If you provide English text I think they might change it your route to 5 years but better ask a lawyer before apply apply

Hi All,

I am applying as a parent to live in the UK to care for my children who are British citizens. I have recently separated from my husband. I am a primary caretaker of our children but we don't have any formal custody agreement in place. I have following questions :

1.Do I need to inform home office about the separation? If so, when should this be done before applying for the visa or after?
2. What would be the financial requirements in my case? I read online that minimum income requirement does not apply if you are applying as a parent? Is that right? I am stay at home mother and I would like to sort the finances beforehand?

Your help regarding above would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

I applied (first application FLR FP overstayer British child and partner) on 26/05/2020 and received an email on 06/06/2020 asking me to Scan/take a photo of my docs and email them to an SSC-FHRU home office email address. They also offered me to send my documents by post if I was unable to email. They also asked for me to post my passport to them. So I think you should wait to be contacted that’s if you haven’t been contacted since.
Please let me know how you got on cos I’m still waiting too for possible biometrics and approval by God’s grace. Good luck x

With the backlogs and deluge of new applications that the HO is currently dealing with, no one can give information of how long it may take.

I have received decisions for FP applications made just before lockdown. The HO have totally by-passed Sopra Steria for these and asked me to email the documents to them directly. They are also reusing biometrics details.

Brilliant news. I will be submitting my switch for FLR FP to FLR M tomorrow after I get my bank statement stamped. I have seen on the flash message on the UKVACs site that they are processing June applications so hope for a speedy decision. Glad they have resorted to a email based document system

I remember a 10kg bundle being sent to the home office 4 years ago in the first application. Those were the days. Helpful board members. All the best. Will update timelines once I get some headaway.

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.

Hi Forum,

My FLR FP Application parent of 2 British Kids has now taken 1year and 1 month with no reply. Is there anything I can do at all.. Not sure if contacting MP has historically been effective. I just keep checking the post all day long. It's really worrying.
Hi there, we both have same application and my application has been with the home office for 1year 6 months. I can understand your frustration... with prayers we shall get there. Did they say your application was complex ? bcos that's what I was told.
Hi mate,

Have you heard any news yet. Still waiting over here though. Wishing for the best still.

Did you apply before the expiry of an existing visa?
